Happy Friday y'all!! I hope everyone has had an amazing week so far and that you are getting ready for some fun plans this weekend! I am writing this month's "Locals we Love" edition from beautiful Aspen, where I'm on a yoga retreat with some wonderful girlfriends! I do not miss the Austin heat but I do miss all of you and my hubs & pups! I think we brought the heat here with us because it's been in the mid eighties each day but it is amazingly beautiful up here, if you've never been, add it to the list! I hope you all were able to make it to our June 20th event at the awesome Brass Tap in the Domain but if you weren't, below are the lovely vendors we featured at this month's event! Be sure to reach out to them directly if you want any of their products/services or you just want to learn more about their business!

Once again we had the pleasure of spotlighting FamilyLink kids at our recent event at The Brass Tap! We collected donations of bathing suits and shoes for young boys and girls and what a great turn out we had! They also love to have volunteers out at the ranch so if you weren't able to bring a donation, maybe you could sign up and go give these kids some extra lovin' one of these weekends! I can't say enough good things about Mariah and her amazing team at FamilyLink and would love to connect anyone who has been thinking about fostering or adopting children with them.
They hold really informative foster parent training courses at their ranch very often so there is always an opportunity for you to sign up! Even if you're unsure about making that type of a commitment then you can just volunteer or even donate whatever they are in need of, there is always something they need for all of the kiddos!
"Our organization is a non-profit Licensed Foster Care and Adoption agency that finds loving and caring homes for children who have been abused, neglected or exploited. We provide extensive foster parent training and licensing with no fees every 6 to 8 weeks on Saturdays. We recognized the incredible need for safe and loving foster or adoptive homes for these children and also manage multiple Emergency Shelters and Residential Operations throughout Central Texas. Our dedicated and experienced staff provides meaningful one on one supportive mentoring in our licensed homes and provides guidance during fostering transitions from placement, reunification, and adoption."

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is having a great start to their week so far! I wanted to get on here because I recently received some Her's Day panty liners as well as day and night time pads to give a try and let you all know what I think! Well I have had the chance to use them recently and I am really impressed with the quality and absorption that each of the pads offers. I am on the heavier side of periods so I'm always trying to find all different types of feminine hygiene products that actually work and this one surprised me with how comfortable they all were and how dry the pads remained throughout the days and nights when I was using them. I know all women are different and have different needs when it comes to that time of the month but I do highly recommend trying out this company. The liners are of course thin but if you're needing something for those heavier first couple of days, both the day and nighttime pads worked great for me and they have wings to keep the pad in place and comfortable the whole time you're wearing it! Be sure to check out the website here and put in an order! On top of being very absorbable, they are incredibly economical so you won't break the bank on ordering high quality pads!
Happy Monday everyone! I wanted to get on here and share a little about my visit back home to VA that I just did. It's that time of year of graduations, parties, end of year recitals and so many family cook outs, some of my favorite things! I was lucky enough to have some time off which is rare while building a real estate business and running Austin Housewives in the City but it all fell into place and I got to celebrate two cousins high school graduations and another cousins end of the year dance recital (at the dance studio where I danced and grew up at) so that was very special! If you've never been to VA, it really is a lovely place to visit. You are close to Washington D.C. which brings all of the museums and history but there are also so many great outdoor activities to do and the weather is quite nice during the summer (compared to the hellish heat we experience here in Austin).
I have a few other trips coming up this summer including a yoga retreat with some of my favorite ladies in Aspen, a trip to Italy for a wedding of one of our best friends, San Diego trip for a bestie's baby shower and maybe one other one if we can squeeze it in to Grand Caymen. It will be a very busy summer for us but I am looking forward to each of these trips and the experiences they will bring! Plus nothing is more fun than celebrating those you love! What are you all doing this summer? Any fun vacation plans in the works? I'd love to hear about it! Check out some photos below of our VA trip, filled with family, celebrations and love!
Hi all! My name is Kacey and I am a realtor, a wife and a dog mom of 3 dachshunds in the wonderful city of Austin! I'm also a yoga & food lover, pretty good cook, wanna be crafter, hot tea drinker, movie watcher and most importantly I am the gal behind Austin Housewives in the City! I hope to see you at one of our Girl's Night Out events soon!!
