Ya'll I can NOT believe Christmas is this Sunday! Where did the time go?? Why is it that once October comes, the rest of the months until the end of the year just zoom by so fast? All of our time is booked up with holiday parties and events, our minds are contantly focused on the next gathering with what to cook, how to decorate, which presents to buy, etc. It gets very chaotic and busy this time of year, I don't know how some of you do it! Teach me your ways!
I don't know about you all but the older (and hopefully wiser) I get, the more I want to take a moment and soak it all in. I don't want to get so caught up in the day to day little issues that, a lot of the time can really stress me out. This time of year is about being with the ones you love the most and being thankful that we all have this time together. This is why last Friday night was so special to me. We just hopped in the car, put on some Christmas tunes and drove around looking at lights for a couple of hours. I haven't done that since I was a kid, it was so much fun and really got us into the Christmas spirit even more! It's just about spending that quality time and not having to spend money or do something extravagent all the time. Just sit back, take a drive and soak in the beauty of Christmas. There is still a magical feeling I get even as an adult looking at all of the lights and being all warm and cozy in the car while singing "White Christmas".
I hope all of you can and will have a similar experience or moment this holiday season. Take a little time to just spend with your loved ones with no expectations. Just have a good time and a great conversation, which will then turn into a beatiful memory to be cherished for many years to come. I am so thankful to be a part of this Housewives in the City community and to have even just one reader of this new blog/adventure that I'm on! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too! See you all in 2017, wow..what?!! ;)
