Ever used a Pressure Cooker? Curious about trying one? This is the first time I've used one and I must admit...I am in love! The recipe was quick and easy, not to mention it filled the entire apartment with a mouth watering smell! A pressure cooker can replace your crockpot as well, which is pretty awesome especially when you live in a small apartment in the city. I use the Coppertech Pressure Pro (click to purchase it on Amazon)! It also came with a Recipe Book and a Canning Book. I've never canned before, but now I'm tempted to try it. Check out my first recipe below with step-by-step instructions!
3-5 lbs. chuck roast
1 packet ranch dressing powder
1 packet Aus Jus mix powder
1 stick butter
1 jar pepperoncini
½ cup water
Place 4 peppers into the bottom of the cooking pot. Then, place the chuck roast on the top of the peppers in order to prevent burning and overheating.
Sprinkle packets of seasoning over the top of the roast, covering it as much as possible.
Place about 3 or 4 more pepperoncinis on top of the roast, and around it. Then, pour about ¼ to ½ of the pepperoncini liquid into the pot. Add the water and place the stick of butter directly on top of the roast.
Close the lid and set the PRESSURE VALVE to SEAL. Press CHICKEN/MEAT button and set the TASTE button to your preference. When done, release pressure carefully, open the lid and serve.
Hello! I'm Camille
Hello! I am a Social Media + Event Coordinator for Boston Housewives in the City and work in the Financial District as a Legal Assistant. I am a native northern Virginian. I moved to Western Massachusetts in April of 2016 and to Boston in May of 2017. This city has so much to offer! I don't think I will every get used to the Boston accent! I love reading, cooking, shopping, and eating way too much chocolate! I can't wait to meet you at our Boston Girls Night Out events!
