Privateer Youth Sailing Camp offers weekly camps during June & July where they teach the skills of sailing. The main emphasis of the camp is fun and safety.
Campers will learn: to speak the language of sailing, how to rig their own boat, safely leave the dock and return, use the wind to sail in any direction, to right the boat when it tips over, then de-rig and put away the boat at day’s end. While on shore campers meet new friends while being taught: care of their boat, rules of safe boating, how to tie the most useful knots, do some swimming, paddling, hiking and much more. Learning to sail their own boat across the lake and safely returning to shore gives your child increased self-esteem and confidence in their abilities. Students are taught by Instructors certified by the United States Sailing Authority.
Cost: $300/week includes: lunches, snacks & T-shirts; scholarships are available.

I believe good food is worth traveling for. I used to make my husband drive thirty minutes just so I could get my fajita fix! Ceniza is no different, this is a nice place when you want a change of scenery from downtown or chain restaurants. The indoor seating is smaller, but in the warmer months the patio is open to provide more seating and it's one of the few restaurants I've found in the area with outdoor seating. We got there at 6 PM on a Wednesday evening. The patio was pretty open and available as well as the indoor seating. Tagging along with me was our blog photographer Matt and his wife, who seemed to enjoy the environment just as much as I did.
The food was good, moderately priced with lots of flavor. The menu isn’t very expansive, but they have gluten free and vegetarian options, which is nice. They have about 5 or so beers on tap, but a good liquor assortment. They do mojitos by the pitcher and let me tell you their CFC Mac n Cheese is MORE than worth the trip alone, the chicken breast was HUGE and the mac was a perfect consistency (and I'm very picky on M&C).
Cenzia's Chef Andrew is wonderful, from his personality to his views and love for food, you can tell he's in the right environment for himself. Plus, the upstairs of Ceniza offers the C-Lounge which has Salsa every Friday AND a cigar room! The upstairs patio is probably my favorite (besides the amazingly bright painted walls) with it's custom ventilation system, you can hardly even tell anyone smokes cigars up there. Ceniza is a nice local place in Ooltewah and good Cuban food, that's kind of my bottom line! If you stop by tell Chef Andrew and out team OR you can join us on June 5th, 2018 for our Girls Night Out and experience it first hand.

MEET MATT WITH ENGLISH MAJOR MEDIA
We've all seen those amazing bloggers with their amazing social media feeds and beautiful images featured on them. So many of those images come from someone behind the camera, behind the lens. That could be a husband, friend, confidant or even a hired hand to help, but getting the job done is the bottom line. Have you met our "man behind the scenes"? I'd like to introduce you to Matt, our Chattanooga Social Media Contributor who will be featured on our blog and all levels of social media with his artwork and imagery. Matt's ambition is one of his strongest traits and I'm truly rooting for him, and I know our projects coming in the future will be just as amazing. So without further adieu, Chattanooga, please meet Matt, owner and photographer of English Major Media!
**English Major Media is a portrait and wedding photography service designed to bring high-quality, simple, and easy-to-understand photography services to clients in the Chattanooga, TN area. **
Describe yourself in three words?
Self-motivated. Conversation-starter. Driven.
What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?
Shooting a wedding with 3 days notice!
What are your professional goals for the next six months?
Expand my client base and land some commercial gigs. I want to book twelve weddings and as many other portrait sessions that I can.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I'd love to compete in a semi-professional racing series.
How do you maintain a work/life balance?
Compartmentalizing is key. I try to dedicate specific hours to work and others to personal things. Maintaining a "traditional" work week has proven to be invaluable for my productivity.
What websites do you visit most often?
I'm on Instagram constantly, and frequent Jalopnik, Facebook, and YouTube.
What are your top THREE favorite place/things to do in our city?
Bitter Alibi, The Signal, River Street Deli
What is your goal for retirement?
I don't intend to retire. All of my years running up to "retirement age" are preparation for work that can be sustainable. I want to continue to create and contribute until it's physically impossible for me to.
Do you have any advice for anyone who'd like to start their own company?
Seek the counsel of other people who have tried it before you, and only take advice from people that are where you want to be already. There's no point in listening to a peer's reservations or worries when they're no further ahead than you are.
Thanks so much for the opportunity to contribute! I'm really looking forward to working together in the future. I am currently booking weddings and clients through 2018, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com or via my website, englishmajormedia.com.
