Friday night means double date night and this weekend we decided to change it up and check out Escape House on Ontario (thanks for the tickets T!). Bravely adding ourselves to a group of strangers, we and our friends took on the 1 hour mission of "Saving the White House".
If you have never been to one of these escape venues we highly recommend trading in your weekend movie for your detective costume and letting yourself exercise your, obviously superb, intelligence!
Ha! Or you could be like me, dying from performance anxiety and basic algebra but still up for the challenge! Nothing deserves a cocktail more than putting the good ol' left side of the brain to work, am I right? Bragging rights aren't so bad either!
Editor's Tip: Groupon currently has a deal for this and it ends tonight at midnight!
This week we had the pleasure of being invited to check out Jazzin at the Shedd at Shedd Aquarium with some of our friends. If this is not on your summer bucket list add it now!
Though this is not a place for the people who don’t like being around people, it is the place for pretty much everyone else! Events run all summer long on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:30pm and ending with a breathtaking view of the Navy Pier fireworks display.
#Adulting isn’t done right until you have had a glass of wine and talked to the beautiful beluga whales and reached out to the slithering sturgeons!
Cap it all off with a cocktail in the fresh air, complimented perfectly by live jazz bands!
Joe and I got married at the Renaissance Hotel Washington D.C., Dupont Circle on New Year’s Eve 2015. It was only fitting for us to continue the tradition and stay in a Renaissance Hotel for our First Anniversary!
The Renaissance Hotel Downtown Chicago is a gem of a hotel! Poised with the strength of the Marriott brand and personality of all things modern and full of youth, it is located directly beside the river in The Loop. Everything and anything you can need or want is a close walk or quick cab away.
I honestly can say that this Renaissance is one of the best I have been to yet! The rooms are spacious, newly decorated and inviting. The lobby maintained a lively vibe throughout while the main restaurant kept up with graceful Marriott standards, boasting lavish brunches and generous views.
We were so welcomed by all of the staff and truly made to feel like this anniversary was celebrated; thank you to all at the Renaissance Hotel Downtown Chicago, you truly made our day one for the books!
