Place peeled, cored, cut up apples into a large stockpot.
Fill pot with water so apples are covered by at least 2 inches.
Add cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice.
Squeeze the orange and add the juice to the crockpot.
Put the pot on high for 1 and 1/2 hours then reduce to the low setting and let simmer for a few more hours until you are ready to serve.
Once ready to serve, pour through a fine strain, even straining through a fine mesh sieve, using a potato masher to extract as much juice from the mixture as possible.
After straining thoroughly, pour juices back into the crockpot and place on the warm setting.
