Do Your Eyebrows look like this?
I got my eyebrows micro-bladed!!!
Have you heard of this before?
I had heard of it before, but was confused on what it was, really.
When I was first contacted by Nikole for consideration to be featured by
the HITC, I confess, I was unsure what an ''esthetician" actually did.
I looked up her Instagram profile to verify it and after looking at the realistic hairs in all her after pictures, I was under the impression initially that 'micro-blading' was like adding
brow 'hair plugs' into the arch of your eyebrows.
Micro-blading is a form of semi-permanent makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments.
In other words, it is getting facial tattoos!
You can have your eyebrows, eyeliner, and other permanent makeup added to your face.
I saw examples all around me, I looked to women, like the chicks from 'Charmed' with their perfectly sculpted thin brows, and tried my luck with making my eyebrows more 'feminine'.
I didn't destroy them all at once, I plucked them more and more over the years.
I watched as they became thinner and thinner, not concerned with the consequences.
Not realizing my future regret, I kept plucking until I could no longer see them in pictures!
Even after BIG bushy brows came back into fashion I didn't realize how bad my brows had gotten. It wasn't until I realized I hadn't plucked them in a long time that it dawned on me...
my brows were no longer growing back!
As I creep closer to 30 years old, I have come to realize my hair is no longer growing as fast, not as thick and not even as red as my hair used to be when I was young.
I have been using brow liners and mascaras for a long time now and hate the constant application of them.
I hated how fake or how clumpy they would look.
I hated how they just never seem to look that great...
Don't those little lines look like REAL hairs?!
Now that I had my eyebrows micro-bladed I feel more confident!
The pictures speak for themselves, however, I still can't help but rave about these eyebrows!
Nikole is so talented, she makes those tiny lines look like REAL hairs!
They look amazing!
She not only takes great care in measuring and sketching out the outline of my new fabulous brows, but she was concerned with my comfort during the process too!
She does a couple lines and then asked me how well I could feel it, if I can felt it too much she would reapply the numbing cream to make sure I was always comfortable during the process.
After numbing my brow area, she even set me up with some stress balls and a pillow for my legs to rest on.
I even love her music choices, I couldn't have had a better experience!
I had to make sure not to eat or drink certain items for certain amounts of time before my appointment. Like, I couldn't have garlic supplements for up to 4 weeks before or coffee 24 hours before! Anything that can raise your blood pressure or cause red blood cell growth is on the list. Avoiding these things can help reduce bleeding excessively during the micro-blading process.
Nikole uses the 'golden ratio' to decide precisely where the outline should go and checks with you to make sure you like the shape.
She checks and rechecks everything before beginning and will check again and do a touch up before letting you leave!
She even throws in a FREE session for your first touch up after your procedure and offers the rest after that with the lowest rates in Colorado!
