Being one of 13, all adopted, I have had the chance to embrace love, passion and encouragement from all walks of life! I was adopted at the age of 6, and can still remember that day like it was yesterday. I got out of the car, walked near the park, and as I looked up to my foster mother’s face , she smiled and told me "this is going to be your new family" new family...what powerful words to a young girl who thought she had nothing to live for and no one to have love her! I was told that I was a quiet little girl and would not come out of her shell. I was told that I couldn't even climb a fence or walk down our red carpet staircase to see my new dad’s face! I loved having so many brothers and sisters and as we all began to get to know one another, the fear of not being loved by a family began to melt away! As the years went on, my parents adopted more and more till we had 13 kids in the family. I grew up learning to share and not to judge a person on the color of the skin or the content of their character! Sure, we have had our shares of ups and downs like most family's do, but growing up with so many siblings can put a smile on your face and warm the heart. Now as I look back on the past 20 years of my life and I embark on a new journey turning 40, I can’t help but think how blessed and lucky I was to be a part of such a wonderful family and a story of “The Cyphers”.
Even though I am still single and there are days I wish I were married and had my own children I get to stop, smile and look at all my 23 nieces and nephews around me that make feel alive, thankful and blessed!

I began my journey to a better health at the end of June, I guess you get to the point of your life when you get sick and tired of having to take medication just to make it through your everyday life. I have struggled with high blood pressure and high cholesterol along with being over weight for half my life. I have been on some sort of medication it seems like for a lifetime.. I had to decide that this is my body, my journey and if I am going to live to see 40..let alone 50 then I needed to make some changes in my life.
I will be 40 this September 1st 2016! So I began my “journey to 40” On this journey I am taking a hard look over my life in all aspects from eating, working out, even my emotional and spiritual health!
Not only am I doing 40 minutes of heart health exercise a day I am learning to eat healthier and really be mindful of what I put in my body. I have now been gluten and sugar free for over 30 days...not going to lie it has not been an easy journey but one that is doable if you put your mind and heart into it. There were some days I just wanted to punch everybody and go eat a big box of Krispy Creams and a bunch of chicken fingers...lol But I didn’t and pushed though and continued on my juicing journey and drinking lots and lots of water a day! I even add peppermint oil to my water that helps cool down my system and curve my cravings!
I am blessed to be sponsored by Samba Fresh and owner Kit Dos as he guides me on the life changing journey. With his guidance I am able to start to understand the importance of what i put in my body and knowing the power of starting over with a cleanse and allowing your body to heal, restore and renew. They empower, educate and inspire others to be mindful of what they put in their bodies, the juice is always cold pressed, allowing a minimum mixing of air with the juices which results in very slow oxidation or decomposition. Using relationships with over 30 local organic/pesticide-free farms, we source all our fresh ingredients from farmers right here in Ohio.

Already I have began to start to feel my body begin to heal and not crave the things I used to. I now crave raw veggies, fruits and water...not to mention loosing 20 pounds and my blood pressure returning to normal!
Whats next you ask? Well I am going to continue on my “journey to 40” and will embark on a raw diet and enjoy my new outlook on life and embrace the RAW truth about they way I have been treating my body the past 20 years of my life!
Here is to a new found... Health, Body and Spirit!
If anyone has talked with me recently, you know all I have been talking about is getting my own CC house. Not to mention, my Sales and Marketing coordinator, Ashley, is in the process of building her own house too. Allow me to share with you the perfect addition to your home – a custom driveway gate. Not only do they provide security (since it’s just going to be me in my CC home), but also these gates are decorative as well.
I have recently come back in contact with an old friend who owns JDR Metal Art. While it was a pleasant surprise, I am also amazed by his homemade custom driveway gates that feature life size silhouettes of deer and wildlife, horses, and trees. They also offer standard security gates which are automated with either solar or electric gate opener options. They work hand in hand with you or your contractor to provide you with a strong, durable, and eco-friendly gate. With over 6,000 custom paint colors to choose from, they do their powder coating system in house keeping the cost of their gates low. Check out some of their recent designs on their blog and below:
Here’s two of my personal favorites:
Ranging from wildlife to horses, they can even do a personalized designs for a small extra fee. Based out of the Columbus area, this can easily increase your home’s value and road appeal! Made out of steel and aluminum, this is an investment meant to last. It’s a no brainer for those who are looking to add something a bit different to their driveway or those who are building a new home. Contact today at 614-949-4304! You can call or text anytime (even on weekends) or shoot them an email to MetalArtGates@gmail.com.
I have been on a journey to juicing to a better health! Thanks to my juice sponsor Samba Fresh located in New Albany and Upper Arlington, Ohio. I began my journey June 24th, and I am not going to lie..the first week was rough as I took away eating sugary foods and gluten by the end of 7 days I wanted to rip someones head off! This is truly a journey of will power and a mind set, but when you put your mind set to "this is going to better my health and I will feel better..." I began to see a difference of the way I feel and look. Now 20 days later not only do I feel energized, I have lost 12 pounds and have been told I have a "glow" to my face! So exciting to see the difference and it is a motivation to keep juicing and eating healthy. I have always struggled with weight issues and hormone imbalance and have tried every diet known to man, but I have never stuck with a program. I now have a mission for my life to be more heart healthy so I am able to get off my blood pressure medication and hopefully soon my high cholesterol medications. I am going to continue this a part of my "journey to 40" this summer and will keep you all posted on the progress! What have I been up to for the last month you ask?
I have been busy getting to know the Columbus Housewives and developing new networking ideas and venues! I also had the chance to go back home to my home town in Mansfield, Ohio. While I was at home I had the chance to spend some time with my brothers one of whom is a Marine Veteran. I had the chance to just embrace his conversation and be encouraged at his strength to keep moving forward and embracing the fact that until we want and create change in our lives we will remain stagnate! Different things motivate different people and with opportunity come risk! As we were returning back to our car, I saw a crown of people gathered around a water fountain in the town square area, It was a group pf volunteers from our small town community giving back and serving our homeless vets and families! What a humbling act of service to witness and served as a reminder that we all have our struggles in life and not to forget to pay it forward and lend a hand.
I recently had the opportunity to attend a Get Motivated business conference in Columbus, It felt good to sit back and hear all the encouraging lectures and motivating stories that came from the stage. A few of my favorite speakers were Dr. Clarice Fluitt, Dr. Keith Johnson and Les Brown. I think my most valuable takeaway from this conference was about making space for positive change in your life, and learning that changes don t often stick because we have not created space in our consciousness for them, we tend to keep ourselves so busy that our minds get trapped in a circle pattern that we cannot escape from. I am learning I need to devote more time to openness and take time to stop and smell the fresh air, get rid of the negative and Toxic people and influences in my life! Work, Life, Balance has been a goal I have set for my Journey to 40 this year, learning that its OK to say NO and to start tracking my time that will better serve others and myself!
So for me June will bring new skills, new vision and most important learning to be patient with myself as I go along the way as it will bring fuel to my JOY in life! Breathe & Exhale....
