Rainy day May.....Saturday Review!
This morning.....(while waiting on my oil change at Monro)
I found myself on an adventure back to the "Farm"...
I had breakfast at Bob Evans, an original Ohio born staple that started in 1962 in Southeast Ohio.
I walked in... it was a journey down memory lane of when my parents would take all 13 of us to breakfast on the weekends, funny...I find myself eating alone reflecting on this....but I as i sat there embracing my surroundings I couldn't help but hear all of the conversations that took place around me! There was one however that stood out the most, it was a round table of "Grandpa's"... they have been coming to this Hamilton Road location for years..the server new everyone's name by heart and what every person wanted already...she greeted the table by name and the signature "coffee" she had such joy about serving others! While sitting near this table I could not help but listen in on the "seasoned" conversation beside me.
It was a conversation about "LIFE", how everyone's week was, how their wife's were doing and the countless grandchildren's life adventures, even a few graduating this month!
I can only hope that when I am at that age beyond my years I have developed such relationships with others around me that I to can find myself at a round breakfast table of memory's of such to cherish and enjoy a hot breakfast from Bob Evans!
My breakfast was amazing! I enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice (well...at least it looks like it...lol) I enjoyed the amazing "Sunshine Skillet" with fresh buttermilk pancakes, warm local maple syrup and crispy bacon. I am learning that.. It's okay to enjoy a good hot home cooked breakfast that feeds your soul every now and then!
Thank You...Bob Evans for such a wonderful reminder to stop and enjoy the "FARM".
Greetings Columbus Housewives readers! Who am I you ask? I " AM " By Christina... I am one of 13 all adopted and from many diverse backgrounds. Growing up with so many different siblings, I learned the meaning of the word sharing and caring! I am on my journey to 40 this year and have a passion for health, wellness, and networking. Even though I am single with no kids.. I have 23 nieces and nephews, so I get my share of "motherly" duties when I get the chance to care for all these kids! For me the words " I Am" mean I have the control of my success or failure and the ability to transform my self-image and the road to my own destiny!
These past 20 years have been a road of someone of my age should not have to go through from many health trails and the journey of discovering ones self and finding out who " I AM" ! Today I am living proof that by never giving up on myself and by sharing my health story, I have began to bring myself to a whole new level of embracing and loving life. I will never understand everything my body has going on, but I now take the time to listen to it and treat it right! By sharing my story I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing people along the way! Stay tuned as I embark on my journey to 40 and share pieces of my health story that makes me who " I AM" today! I am so excited to take this journey with you all and begin a great powerful Columbus Housewives network! Here is to a new journey! Won't you join me? I would love to hear from you and what makes you who you are today!!
