Being one of 13, all adopted, I have had the chance to embrace love, passion and encouragement from all walks of life! I was adopted at the age of 6, and can still remember that day like it was yesterday. I got out of the car, walked near the park, and as I looked up to my foster mother’s face , she smiled and told me "this is going to be your new family" new family...what powerful words to a young girl who thought she had nothing to live for and no one to have love her! I was told that I was a quiet little girl and would not come out of her shell. I was told that I couldn't even climb a fence or walk down our red carpet staircase to see my new dad’s face! I loved having so many brothers and sisters and as we all began to get to know one another, the fear of not being loved by a family began to melt away! As the years went on, my parents adopted more and more till we had 13 kids in the family. I grew up learning to share and not to judge a person on the color of the skin or the content of their character! Sure, we have had our shares of ups and downs like most family's do, but growing up with so many siblings can put a smile on your face and warm the heart. Now as I look back on the past 20 years of my life and I embark on a new journey turning 40, I can’t help but think how blessed and lucky I was to be a part of such a wonderful family and a story of “The Cyphers”.
Even though I am still single and there are days I wish I were married and had my own children I get to stop, smile and look at all my 23 nieces and nephews around me that make feel alive, thankful and blessed!
Oh my, July’s event at bd’s Mongolian was such a success. I enjoyed meeting each and every one of you! Thank you for all coming out and don’t forget about our next Girl’s Night Out at Bar Louie on August 18th.
I am also so very thankful for the partnership with A Mother’s Love Photography, who spent the evening capturing moments for our event. The owner, Ashley Ball, started her photography business in 2015 and has been pursuing her passion ever since. She does more than event photography, but also family, newborn, senior, birthday, maternity, boudoir, engagement, wedding, and much more to fit your needs. Not to mention, her pricing is reasonable since we all know photography is not cheap! Visit her website to learn about her or her Facebook page to view some of her work! I promise you will not find a friendlier and professional photographer at this price!
I am also thankful for Nothing Bundt Cakes who brought in some tasty deserts as well as our other vendors who joined us for a wonderful night! Not to mention, the food at bd's Mongolian is hard to beat! I would love for you to come meet us at our next Girls Night Out! RSVP today below!
