I don't know about you, but whenever I find a product I love I want to share it with everyone I can! That's why I'm so excited to tell you about my new favorite bag... It's the Ameribag Healthy Back Bag.
Because we have such AMAZING weather here in Hawaii the kids and I are always heading down to the pool. The AmeriBag Healthy Back Baby Bag is the PERFECT pool bag for us. It can hold several towels, your hydroflasks, snacks and more--plus it comes with a removable plastic pouch inside that can double as a wet clothes bag for after swimming. YAY!
Other features of the AmeriBag Healthy Back Bag Bag are the ergonomic design and extra wide, cushioned and non-slip strap, worn as a cross body style it's perfect for staying handsfree on the go. It also comes with a cosmetics bag, and
So what makes it healthy?
It's simply a better design. It's body hugging and contouring, and can be worn multiple ways to help keep you comfortable even when it's loaded up--now straps digging into your shoulders! The bag molds to the contours of your spine which allows the weight to be evenly balanced. As a bonus, it's not just one bottomless pit like most bags, there is plenty of pockets to keep everything in it's place plus a key fob attachment so you don't have to worry about losing your keys.

Have you checked out the new Ka Makana Ali’i over in Kapolei yet? We recently had the chance to visit Ka Makana Ali’i and the brand new California Pizza Kitchen restaurant.
The first thing that hits you when you visit California Pizza Kitchen in Kapolei, is the attention to detail they gave the design. It's upscale and relaxed, and focused on the open hearth pizza oven where you can watch your food being created!
California Pizza Kitchen is entering it's next phase and has reimagined it's menu to include new foods and handcrafted cocktails. They have lots of new menu items that are sure to be very popular here in Hawaii including Crispy Ahi Tuna Rolls and Poke Chop Chop Salad.
After we ordered, our waiter brought all three of the kids out a ball of pizza dough to play with during the wait. They had a blast creating different shapes with their dough balls. Turns out California Pizza Kitchen also special program that allows kids to play chef and make their own pizza using fresh ingredients, while getting creative and learning about food along the way.
Perfect for birthday parties, CPKids parties include a VIP-style behind-the-counter restaurant tour, a meal and dessert from the award-winning CPKids menu, souvenirs and a certificate for a free CPKids Meal for each child’s next visit.
now the most important part...the food
Everything from gourmet Pizzas to steaks, to fresh seafood, California Pizza kitchen brings it with delicious food. I went with the Fish Tacos and a week later I'm still thinking about how tasty they were.
When you visit CPK you MUST get dessert because Oh, my goodness these Red Velvet and Butter Cake with ice cream.
Just trust me, order dessert and thank me later.
We loved trying out the NEW California Pizza Kitchen in Kapolei, and would definitely recommend you all driving out to the West side to visit them too, or give the new menu a try at any of the Oahu locations.
Sing it with me now. "Where you lead, I will follow.."
Gilmore Girl's fans around the country got an amazing treat yesterday, as Luke's Diners popped up all over the place, including two here on Oahu.
Wednesday morning, I dropped the kids off at school and then we headed over to Island Brew Coffeehouse to get our taste of Luke's!
While it wasn't exactly what I was thinking it was going to be, I expected the place to be outfitted just like the show, and maybe that was little much to expect...it was still insanely fun.
It was fun seeing lovers of one of my favorite shows ever, coming together to celebrate in anticipation of the reboot, Gilmore Girl's: A Year In The Life, and of course having some delicious coffee!
To make it feel more like Luke's Diner they included a "No Cell Phones" sign! Sorry for breaking the rules, Luke!
Our barista even looked a little like Luke Danes! Backward baseball hat, scruffy beard...totally Luke! FUN!
You like coffee? Only with my Oxygen!
Are you guys as excited as I am for the Gilmore Girl's reboot?

Part of our mission here at Housewives In The City, is to be women who support women. We want to hold each other up and bring attention to women in our communities. In that spirit, I want to introduce the Honolulu Housewives community to our series, Leading Ladies.
To launch our Leading Ladies, I selected Brittnee Ferrell of Boombox Productions Dance Studio. We met Brittnee at our July Girl's Night Out and Networking Social, and I knew she was a perfect candidate for our first Leading Lady here in Honolulu!
Tell us about your business and how you became the successful business woman you are today.
I have been training in dance since I was 2 years old by my Aunt, my love and my training lead to many opportunities and awards. As I was training I was also taught to be a caring and loving teacher. Growing up in a family studio did wonders for me and my future career. When I got to Hawaii I realized there was a severe lack of Tap Dance offered on island. I had a large amount of interest in instruction so I decided "hey I can do this on my own" and I put things in motion! I had a meeting with the Owners of Island Elite Cheer where my daughter attends All-Star Cheerleading classes and asked if there was interest in starting a dance program, and because they believed in me Boombox Productions was born! Island Elite is now a full service gym offering cheer, tumbling, stunt classes and now DANCE!
Describe yourself in three words:
Fierce, Unique, Positive
What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?
Performing on Broadway when I was only 15 alongside dancers like Gil Stroming, Michael O'Keef, Ricci Milan and more.
That's amazing! What are your professional goals for the next six months?
To grow my business, build up a hype, inspire more to dance for themselves.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Professional Cat Lady
Interesting choice...How do you maintain a work/life balance?
With positive vibes. We get back what we put into the world, not everything is in our control, roll with the punches, and inspire others to do the same along the way, and just know everything can't be sparkles and rainbows all the time! My husband and five year old daughter are 100% on my team and inspire me every step of the way!
What websites do you visit every day?
Pinterest, The Chive, Spotify
What are your top three favorite people/places/things to do in our city?
Top Favorite people are my Husband Aaron, my Daughter Scarlett, and My dancers. Places- I love being inside Island Elite around such inspiring athletes, The beach, and Home. Things- Eat the delicious food Hawaii has to offer!
What is your goal for retirement?
You never really retire from dancing, you just evolve... it will always be in my heart.
Do you have any advice for women who'd like to start their own company?
Life is short, Do all the things and be all the things!
Any final comments?
Thank you Honolulu Housewives in the City for selecting my brand new business, we love everything you stand for! Woman Power!
I love what Brittnee stands for, and I think she makes a great role models for the little ladies in our city. She is unapologetically true to herself. She is unique and fun, and I think she makes a great addition to the Honolulu Housewives community!
To find out more about Boombox Productions Dance visit Brittnee's website, and check her out on Facebook and Instagram too!
