So you already know that Honolulu Housewives is new to Oahu, but here's a little secret, I've actually been blogging for over four years! When the opportunity to bring a Housewives In The City branch to Honolulu I jumped right on it! Because I'm still sort of new to the island, I wanted to jump right in and get to know the ladies of Oahu.
All the Housewives Bloggers have lots going on beyond the Housewives events. We've got a Wedding Planner, a Realtor, Single Moms, Single Ladies, Work at Home Entrepreneurs and more. We really are accepting of women of all backgrounds and lifestyles, we welcome everyone, not just your stereotypical "Housewife". So today, I wanted to share a little bit more about myself and what I do.
I'm the blogger behind the Mom Blog, Growing Up Greens. On my website you'll find all sorts of fun stuff, but I specialize in lunch box ideas for kids as well as family friendly snack ideas, like these.
I've been sharing my kids' school lunch boxes for over four years now. I started lunchbox blogging as a creative way to encourage healthy eating habits in my big kids.
Once upon a time, getting them to eat a vegetable was like pulling teeth. Now, they're eating healthy, colorful, and tasty lunches daily.
I share their lunchboxes on Growing Up Greens in an effort to help other parents looking for lunchbox ideas. I know how easy it is to fall into a peanut butter and jelly rut, and how hard it is to get kids to try something new. Over the past few years I've worked with a bunch of national companies including a year long stint as a Go-Gurt Lunchbox Blogger.
So, one of my favorite things ever is visiting Walt Disney World, and really all Disney parks, so I often share Disney planning tips and secrets. I sometimes share travel tips for other destinations, but I definitely focus on Disney.
In the past I've shared my tips for Packing the Perfect Park Bag, ideas for restaurants to eat at inside the parks, ways to have a perfect vacation and lots more--including a few DIY #DisneySide costumes.
Because I LOVE planning my kids' birthday parties, I share those too. We've definitely had some AMAZING birthday parties over the years. My favorite was Kaylee's 'Eloise At The Plaza' themed party when she turned six. I spend months thinking about the theme, planning every detail, and working to make their day super special!
I don't do it to show off, I genuinely love planning their parties each year, and it makes happy.
I also specialize in digital designs, I often share Free Printables for my subscribers--everything from Home Decor signs to planner stickers, and this Kate Spade inspired sign.
In the past I've shared printable wi-fi password signs, calendars, letters to santa, school notes and a lot more. They're available for a limited time only and only to our subscribers---so super exclusive :)
I also take commissions on custom birthday party and more prints.
