Our April Girls Night Out event was a huge success! We had around 50 ladies in attendance and even a few men showed up and shopped. I loved this-- everyone is welcome to join our events!!! Our photographer for the event was Patty Abrams of EyeWitness Photography.
Patty began photography in high school and continued the practice to create her own business.
"I can photograph just about anything, from newborns to weddings. I really love meeting new people and building relationships along the way. I would say my favorite thing is catching the moments that best define my clients and their personalities. I’m also a 3rd grade teacher, married to a fantastic husband, and have the sweetest dog. I’m really enthusiastic about EyeWitness Photography and the progress it’s making! I can’t wait to be your EyeWitness"

I'm sure everyone has heard about the "Extreme Couponers" who empty grocery store shelves to grow their own home stock piles, and spending hours a week preparing for their haul. While this may intrigue some, it's tedious to others who would rather spend their time doing other things. While extreme couponing is a #goal of mine, it isn't extremely feasible for everyone else. However, I have found that couponing doesn't have to be as extreme as it's made out to be. In fact, you can still save quite a bit of money just by taking a few minutes out of your day to plan your shopping trip.
I started couponing when I first had my daughter, and was staying home full time to raise her. Money was tight, and a few extra dollars here and there really went a long way! I did a little research and found a couple websites that started me on my couponing journey. Before every shopping trip, I check my list and then get online to hunt for deals.
Krazy Koupon Lady is a blog and couponing website that lists deals at different stores weekly, and also tells you where to find the coupons. She has great tips and is an amazing resource for coupon beginners. Another great website to always check before shopping is Retail Me Not. They have all of the best coupons to use at retail stores, as well as online. Last, I always check Coupons.com for printable coupons on grocery and other everyday items. (Remember, you can print coupons twice from each device)
Once I have my coupons printed, I then search for digital coupons. I have found that the best stores to coupon at also have an app--double coupons!! Some of my favorite apps to find digital coupons or save money are: Walmart Savings Catcher, Target Cartwheel, CVS, Dollar General, and Kroger. For example, download the Walmart app and find the Savings Catcher button. Simply create a free account, and upload your receipt. It will scan your items and find the same item's prices from other stores and return you the difference in the form of a gift card. Another great app to download is Ibotta. After you download the app, pick the store at which you are shopping. They will have items you can unlock and once you but that item you will receive a rebate. Rack up $25 or more in rebates and you can redeem for a gift card. It's that easy!
My last website to help with your cash flow is called Swagbucks. Swagbacks is a website where you can take surveys, watch videos, and interact in games for points. Once you reach a certain amount of points, you can redeem these points for gift cards. This is SO easy, I literally do it while watching TV at night, or bored surfing the internet.
There are a lot of apps and other websites out there dedicated for couponing, but these are what I use most frequently. If there are any other great sources out there I'm not aware of, please leave it in the comments!!! I always love finding new deals and helping others save money. Here are my last few quick tips when it comes to beginning couponers!
