On March 27, 2017, we had such an amazing time! Thank you to all who participated!
Such a fantastic evening of sharing business, supporting empowered women, and bonding by creating relationships with members in our community, Not to mention the laughter and friendships that emerged from a great night, set in front of our Bahama Breeze backdrop.
Bahama Breeze, in Memphis, could not have been a more perfect venue. Manager, Carri Pratt, was so accommodating from the moment we first spoke. I walked onto the patio with linen-topped tables, donned with glowing candles, surrounded by seashells, and fresh flowers, nestled in their vases. It was picturesque before we even set up! And the staff! They could not have been more attentive, patient, organized and welcoming. And the food was scrumptious! If you have yet to try out Bahama Breeze, go there and enjoy! I can't say enough good things.
I know that many of you were unable to attend, as weather (tornado warnings and all) was CERTAINLY working against us, HOWEVER, that doesn't mean that you have to be excluded from the fun. The businesses spotlighted and the owners that built them, beautifully displayed and shared services & products for our guests...proudly and professionally representing their companies. They were all unique and yet, still, came together to create an evening that was joyful and unified for both vendors and guests.
Here is the contact information for our vendors so that you may get in touch with them all! Thank you to everyone for a most memorable evening!! xo
We had a great time capping off our February with a fun and festive GNO with some incredible vendors and guests. Enjoying some fabulous food and margaritas, Frida's Restaurante Mexicano at Carriage Crossing was a wonderful little spot for us to gather together to network, mingle and get to know more about each other.
I have heard from MANY of you unable to attend that the stomach bug was very much working against us. Even though you couldn't make it, here is the information and contacts of all our vendors and photographers (yes, we were lucky enough to have two FABULOUS photographers) so please reach out to our vendors because the products and services represented are so worth the inquiry!
Those of you that were able to celebrate with us, thank you for coming out! In the event that you needed contact information to follow-up, here ya go!
We were lucky enough to get not one, but TWO, fantastic photographers. Please take a look at their beautiful work.

My husband and I are always looking for things to (1) do as a family and (2) experiences that are different, unique, and fun...yet secretly educational. We came upon the Lichterman Nature Center in Memphis. Now, one may not think February as the best time to check out a nature center but you would be very surprised. It was actually the PERFECT day for it. Not hot or humid. Overcast but no rain. Just enough to encourage people to lay low at home and not venture out! Cool!! More for us!
The trails were unoccupied. The birds were chirping. The geese and ducks were gliding through open waters. And the fun activities inside were calling our names! Nothing to do but take on an appreciation for nature, in it's purest form, in unlikely circumstances, and enjoy time spent exploring our new adventure together.
Inside, there are insects, reptiles and amphibians, oh my! So much to look at!! And because we were there on a day that others thought to be less optimal, We were introduced to some funky looking insect that I, personally, was all set with, but the kids were infatuated. We were also able to watch the box turtles eat their lunch, that looked...questionable at best. The kids learned all about turtles and how they live, eat, etc. It was like a private tour of the world of animals!
Throughout the day, we found fun opportunities here and there to reinforce what our kids are learning in school. For our 7 year old, he read signs along the trail, learned about the seasons, habitats, and different species. Our 2 year old worked on her colors, numbers and letter recognition skills. And, wouldn't you know...they didn't even realize they were learning!
We left having loved another day spent together, fresh air in our lungs, new found knowledge in our brains, and, perhaps more importantly, looooong naps in our future. Can't wait to go back!
Here are some pictures from our day.
