So, you are probably asking yourself, what is this "Housewives In The City" all about? (which is what I asked myself when I heard the name) We are not, in any way, associated with the bickering, tear-each-other-down, then, boom...besties, affluent women on tv. Nor are we associated with those four fantastic fashionistas sharing their adventures in friendship and love in New York City! Instead, we are a group of like-minded women, who work hard, support each other in our endeavors, and most importantly, love to thrown down and have a good time!
Housewives In The City was launched in 2011 in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., by our founder, Andrea Khoury. Housewives has now expanded to over 31 Cities across the U.S. and are adding more, as we speak. We host monthly Girls Night Out Networking Meet Ups & Networking Socials and will be looking for new venues to partner with each month!
This blog will keep you updated on where our Girls Night Out events will be every month, the participating small business owners, event sponsors, and supported charities. In addition, I will keep you up to date on what is going on in Memphis and the surrounding areas (like Cordova, Collierville, Germantown, etc.), reviews of restaurants, gift ideas, fashion, travel ideas...the things you will see on here, are endless! You may find that you will be checking this site, before any other.......
I am gearing up for Memphis' Housewives In The City launch, so check back for details and watch for how you can become apart of these great events!
My name is Katy and I am thrilled to be sharing the Memphis area comings and goings, from the perspective of a housewife entrepreneur that loves all things fabulous! Originally a Bostonian (and always one at heart), My family and I have lived in the Memphis area for the last 4 years. I have been a teacher in the city for 3 of those years. This year, I resigned this to spend more time with my husband and 2 children, while still pursuing my passion from home! If I can be a mom, I most certainly can build an empire as a business owner. Life is too short not to spend it happy and fulfilled!
