For this date night edition, hubby and I decided to venture up-county and dine at Pazzo Pomodoro ("the crazy tomato"); a Clarksburg restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine. Upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly staff and Ciro (prounced cheer-o), their imported, hand-carved Italian pig; weighing in at 4,000lb of white marble! *Ciro, a kiddo favorite, welcomes all guests; whether you choose to eat at a table or dine at the bar.
Since I knew I'd be ordering pasta, I decided to start off relatively light with their 'INSALATA DI BIETOLE'. Perfectly steamed beets and peppery arugula paired with creamy goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette is a match made in heaven. Hubby ordered the 'MOZZARELLA IN CARROZZA'; a decadent, more sophisticated version of the classic cheese sticks.
We finished off our evening with the PANNA COTTA (custard) topped with their house-made caramel sauce!
I can definitely see myself visiting again on a Clarksburg Outlet excursion and perhaps for their upcoming DINNER IN VENETO; a four-course meal with wine pairing; taking place next week on January 25 at 7pm.
