The festivities center around a grand egg hunt, boasting more than 50,000 candy-filled eggs. However, the family fun does not end there! In addition to the egg hunt, the Eggstravaganza also features bouncy houses and slides, carnival games and prizes, a magician, face painting, the Easter Bunny, a live band and more. With so much Easter excitement, you can imagine that it attracts residents from all over the county.
I was first introduced to this event three years ago by a good friend. I had just moved to MOCO and she told me that I just had to bring my 8-year old son because he would absolutely love it. The truth is, I couldn’t tell you who enjoyed it more, me or my son! I didn’t really expect much from a free, public event, so I was amazed at the vibrant, Easter display… the eggs and the face painting and moon bounces, oh my! I’ve been in attendance each year since and each year is always purportedly cheerful BIGGEST, BEST Easter Celebration EVER! Each year brings its own set of tweaks and improvements to serve an unending guest list in the most welcoming, cheerful and efficient manner possible.
I hope you can hop on over on Saturday, March 26 and partake in Journey’s Crossing’s hospitality! If you’re new, let me share a few suggestions:
* Arrive early to allow your children more time to enjoy the event!
*Parking is FREE, but early arrival will ensure the best parking possible. Also, carpool where possible!
*The event is free, but I do recommend that you bring some spending money to indulge in lunch or some afternoon treats. Here are some of the food vendors that will be present: Kona ...Ice of Cloverly, Curley'S ~ Q BBQ & Catering, Chix N Stix, L.A. Taco, Go Melvo Snoballs, Holy Crepes Food Truck, La Strada Mobile Italian Food and Carmen's Italian Ice & Cafe
*RSVP & Share the link with others!
*Have fun! My favorite part of the egg hunt is listening the children’s squealing laughter and observing their smile stretching from ear to ear!
