![]() Sekou, my 3-year old, was so stoked to go back to Monster Jam and see his favorite Monster Truck of all: Grave Digger! As soon as I mentioned it to him (fyi parents: don't give your preschooler a full week's notice... lesson learned!), he made sure to dig out his "big" Grave Digger as well as his "little" Grave Digger. He reminded me daily during the week leading up until the show this past Saturday and made sure both big and little were there to listen in! ![]() The bright, flashing lights, the sounds of tires spinning, engines revving, horns blowing and vendors offering Monster Jam treats and souvenirs further added to the excitement of the larger than life trucks. Right away, Sekou (3 years) held up his "big Grave Digger" and held it out toward the real deal down in the pit. I could see the wheels turning in his little 3-year old brain; imagining just how big the real deal Grave Digger was. The excitement took over him for the entire show; as it transitioned from truck races, to wheelies and donuts, he sat on the edge of his seat taking it all in. While many took advantage of the ear plugs and head sets, my little Sekou wasn't the least worried by how loud it was. Sekou's favorite part of the show was seeing Grave Digger, of course. He also took great pride in telling daddy all about the crashes once we got home. He even reinacted them with his own "big Grave Digger). However, the older boys enjoyed the wheelies and donuts the most. It's not every day you get to see such large scale machinery doing crazy spins and wheelies! The boys definitely appreciated their experience, as it added an extra, exciting element to their jam-packed basketball weekend. ![]() I would most definitely recommend this; especially for a family who has never experienced this excitement before! Feld's Motor Sports, Inc. coined it "the most adrenaline charged motorsports experience for families on the planet" and I would have to agree! While you may have missed the Verizon show, there are many more to come; from coast to coast!
