We are thrilled to have Michelle Wright joining us as our next vendor at New Bern's first "Housewives in the City" event at the Bern Bar & Grill on June 20th!
As always, here is our wonderful interview with the lovely Michelle Wright!
Question: Do you have a website?
Q: What is your product/service? Who is your target audience?
M: Cosmetics. All women of any age
Q: What sets your product/service apart from your competitors?
M: We are a mission based company to uplift, empower and validate women all
over the world. We give back to sexually abused women, who were abused under the age of 18. There is a FREE Retreat for these women to go to. We also partner with Defend Innocence so we can do our best to stop child sexual abuse.
Q: How long have you been in business? Where are you located?
M: For 2.5 years. And I am in New Bern
Q: Is there anything you would like potential customers and readers of our blog to know about you and your business?
M: I am just a Mom. I am no makeup artist. But the confidence that I have gained in myself because of these products and our mission is huge! My goal is to help other women improve their own levels of confidence. We are all wonderful, strong and smart. I want all women to feel it!
Q: Tell us about your business and how you became the successful business woman you are today.
M: I sell Younique cosmetics through social media. I have completely gained my customer base through the work and use of social media.
Q: What are your top three favorite people/places/things to do in New Bern?
M: Go eat downtown with the family or a date night with the Hubby. Go to New Bern Civic Theater with my daughter. Go to the movies with the family.
Q: What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?
M: When I receive messages from other women letting me know how the makeup makes them feel great about themselves.
Q: What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
M: I would like to try being a heart surgeon.
Q: Do you have any advice for women who'd like to start their own company?
M: Yes. You have to stay consistent. People have to trust you. So when you stay consistent than people start to gain trust in what your sharing with them. Remember when you're posting to social media sites, about your business, to keep it as if you're sharing something with a friend. Not trying to sell it to them. No one wants to be sold to. Always be positive. Yes, even on your bad days. There's enough negativity going around, you don't want to bring negativity to your business and your life.
Wow, Michelle. That is incredible! Supporting abused women and helping provide for such important causes really sets a product apart from the rest. Knowing that by supporting you and your products, I am also supporting those causes is simply fantastic.
Thanks so much for joining us at our first event Michelle! We are so excited to have you.
