I was recently invited to join a small network of local bloggers via facebook - and they immediately made me the social coordinator. Naturally, I assumed the position and had an event planned in no time.
Last week, we got a chance to catch up with each other and enjoy a cooking class at Alice and Louise Catering and Cooking School. great tip: you can bring your own wine bottle of wine and enjoy while you cook!
The highlight of my night was making warm pear butter with rosemary and cinnamon served over some blue cheese ... spread onto ginger snaps. o. m. g! we also made fresh pesto with spinach and almonds, sampled Mother Earth Meals' different salsas, and lathered up our plates with dark chocolate ganache before placing our Simply Dessertspeanut butter chocolate chip cheesecakes on our plates!
special thanks to @Caffeine and a Prayer for organizing the group! I had such a great time!
Hi! my name is Andrea and I'm a not-so-average Northern Virginia blogger, mom, and transplant from the Midwest. I host Girls Night Out events, meet ups, and write about events and my adventures in the DC area. I love to travel, brunch, and drink wine with my neighbors! I'm known to live on the wild side and order Venti iced double shots at 5pm.
