There are areas of the park that are appropriate for thrill-seekers of all ages. As a first-timer, B didn't hesitate to get on anything. These little guys rode the Anaconda and the other roller coaster rides over and over and over.
I jumped on once --- and only rode it once as a gesture of goodwill to my son to show him that I'm still a cool mom and I can handle it!
Whether you have little kids or adult thrill seekers, there is something for everyone to enjoy:
• For the little ones, check out Planet Snoopy: over 14 acres of Peanuts themed fun – from rides and shows, to meeting your favorite Peanuts character
• Everyone will enjoy Soak City which has been recently expanded and renovated and includes a children’s play area for kids of all ages. I personally enjoyed the Lazy Rider (lazy river) while the boys enjoyed the wave pools.
• For the daring... check out the Delirium which is new in 2016. You can fly through the air as you experience gravity-defying hang time.
Want to know the best day to go? From my (one day of) experience, go on a weekday. Parking was easy, there was not too much foot traffic, and we had a chance to ride every ride that we wanted to get on without waiting in line. We packed lunches and unpacked a picnic in their designated (and covered) picnic area in the parking lot. It was easy to get in and out of the park, and it was actually nice to catch a little break in the middle of the day away from all of the activities. We also took our lunch break as an opportunity to change into our swimsuits and spend the second half of the day at Kings Dominion's Soak City water park.
Whether you're going just for the day or you're season pass holders, there is something for everyone at Kings Dominion. B loved it, so I'm sure we'll be back!

Hi! my name is Andrea and I'm a not-so-average Northern Virginia blogger, mom, and transplant from the Midwest. I host Girls Night Out events, meet ups, and write about events and my adventures in the DC area. I love to travel, brunch, and drink wine with my neighbors! I'm known to live on the wild side and order Venti iced double shots at 5pm.
