monday morning and i woke up with a migraine. i am pretty sure i over-did it this weekend. and i'm pretty sure i didn't drink enough water. sangria, yes. water, no.
saturday and sunday i spent ALL day at the Active Kidz Camp Fair at Fair Oaks Mall. Washington Family Magazine asked me to hang out at their table all weekend and chit chat with moms that stopped by... which I thought was a completely no-stress gig - and it was. but two days at a kids festival alone could give you a migraine.
after all day saturday at the festival, i had a charity event in Fairfax that was hosted by First Impressions Salon. Rocio and her team put on a gorgeous fundraising event for VDAY and to raise awareness about domestic violence. Some of the models who walked the runway were victims of domestic violence themselves... it was so empowering to hear the emcee telling their stories - I could just imagine what kind of confidence it takes to walk a runway!
after the VDAY event, it was finally ME time - at 10pm! B was visiting my parents for the weekend, so I got to go on a "date" with my lovebunnie! We celebrated Valentine's Day early on Saturday night at Carrabbas. Nothing better than a pitcher of red sangria and some calamari. We were having such a great time that we didnt even realize the floors being swept and tables torn down. We were the last ones to leave the restaurant :)
Hi! my name is Andrea and I'm a not-so-average Northern Virginia blogger, mom, and transplant from the Midwest. I host Girls Night Out events, meet ups, and write about events and my adventures in the DC area. I love to travel, brunch, and drink wine with my neighbors! I'm known to live on the wild side and order Venti iced double shots at 5pm.
