CALLING ALL PARENTS - The YMCA of Central Florida offers free swim-safety lessons and activities during National Drowning Prevention Month across six counties
In support of National Drowning Prevention Month, the YMCA of Central Florida will host Safety Around Water week, from Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, May 31. This initiative is a YMCA nationwide effort to combat childhood drowning—a leading cause of death in kids under 4—by providing introductory water safety and drowning prevention lessons to children 4-12 years old. The YMCA of Central Florida is committed to providing access to this life-saving education by hosting lessons at the following seven Ys in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Brevard and Marion Counties:
Safety Around Water Week lessons will cover the following topics:
Because May is National Drowning Prevention Month, The Y will also host month-long water-safety activities—from boat safety demonstrations to lifejacket fittings. Free lessons and activities will be available and open to the public starting May 1.

Hi! I'm Michelle. I love traveling, trying new restaurants, meeting new people, going to the parks, and playing with my dogs. I'm also super Disney obsessed - parks, cruise lines, movies - I love it all!
I host monthly networking events in the Orlando area for all women to attend. I look forward to meeting you at our next GNO!
