Lorelle Cicitta has been an athlete her entire life. In college, she participated in bodybuilding competitions and later got really involved in yoga. With fitness as a priority in her own life, she wanted to make a living out of helping people to be healthy and feel great.
Many of us travel to the shore either for the week or for weekend trips, and sometimes it's easy to let that health and wellness routine that we practice for months in preparation for the trips slide once we actually arrive. No longer! Lorelle's fitness studio, Forza Fitness, is located in Sea Isle City, and makes it easy to maintain a healthy balance this season.
Describe yourself in three words:
Strong, resilient, Gemini.
What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?:
My greatest achievement was bringing Aerial Yoga to South Jersey before it became "trendy". I remember hanging the aerial silks on the ceiling and people would walk by looking at me like I was crazy and ask "What's that?". I am so proud to offer a unique and super effective yoga that wasn't so commercial when I first opened Forza Fitness. In 2016, I offered our first Yoga Teacher Training in this special yoga and will have more in the future!
What are your professional goals for the next six months?:
My goals are to offer more classes daily during our busy season. Especially "themed" classes, because I find those super fun. Another goal is to continue to create a schedule for year-round locals.
What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
How do you maintain a work/life balance?:
Setting priorities during quiet time so I can focus on what's important.
What websites do you visit every day?
www.muscleandfitness.com and yogajournal.com
What are your top three favorite people/places/things to do in your city?
I love to get to the north end of the island for ME time on the beach. It's typically super quiet and I can just hear the waves and feel the sand. Makes me feel alive especially because it feels like a private beach. The Deauville at sunset provides my favorite Golden Margarita overlooking the water. Panico in West Cape May is hands-down my favorite restaurant for dinner.
What is your goal for retirement?
To be abundantly healthy - mind, body and spirit.
Do you have any advice for women who'd like to start their own company?
Follow your gut! Put your head down and don't stop until you get where you want to be.
