It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone, and boy was it an incredible year. For me, 2016 was a year of self-discovery and growth. My event planning business has blossomed, I had the opportunity to take over Philadelphia Housewives in February (almost a year!) and have made so many meaningful new friendships because of it.
Goal-setting is something that I'm a firm believer in, and I hope that by putting my goals out into the universe I'll be even more motivated to manifest them. Anyone who sets goals knows that they are constantly evolving and changing, but here's my start...
1. Surround yourself with positive energy.
I've always been someone that tolerates things for the sake of not wanting to lose them. Whether it be a friendship or an activity that just isn't making me happy anymore, I vow in 2017 to try to resolve any negativity and if it cannot be resolved to be comfortable with letting it go.
2. Grow my businesses.
This is broad, but I have really exciting goals for both my event planning + Housewives businesses that I can't wait to make happen. Stay tuned ;)
3. Visit Charleston.
You guys (or should I say, y'all?), this has been a dream of mine for so long. I always joke that I was a Southern woman in a past life. I am a firm believer in southern hospitality, cobblestone streets and butter. I dream of pedaling down the streets of Charleston (I hear this is the way to do it) and getting lost in all of the historic knooks and crannies of the city.
4. And Savannah.
Because apparently they are closer than I thought.
5. Pick up an active hobby again.
Did you know that I used to dance and play tennis? Yeah, I almost forgot too. I'd like to either pick one of these back up or find a fun new hobby that'll get me moving.
6. Learn to frost a cake.
You guys, this is so serious. I make delicious cakes, but they always look like a monkey iced them. One of these days, I'll make a pretty cake. *Note to my planning clients: This is why we hire professional bakers and don't DIY the baked goods, LOL.
