We had our first Phoenix Housewives Girls Night out, Tuesday. It was a fabulous evening of friends (new and old), cocktails, socializing, networking and shopping! It was so fun meeting everyone that came out! I know many more of you wanted to make it but for a multitude of reasons weren’t able to join us! We can’t wait to see you next month!!
For both the ladies that were able to join, and those that weren’t, I wanted share the website links for our #LovelyLocals, local business that participated in our event. We love our vendors and partners from the evening!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again and many new faces at our next event!
One really awesome thing about Housewives in the City is that we want to give back to our communities and create awareness for local charities! This month we have partnered with UMOM New Day Centers. UMOM was founded in 1964 and is the largest homeless shelter for families in the state. It keeps families in need TOGETHER! They provide emergency housing to those in immediate need as well as transitional help and in the search for permanent affordable housing. UMOM has programs to help families get on their feet through education, skill building and other things necessary to succeed and provide for themselves.
UMOM not only provides shelter for homeless families, but also has programs to help veterans, domestic violence victims in need of a safe place to stay, childcare for residents while working or job searching and many others.
I have had the opportunity to volunteer with UMOM through their “Read to Me” program. It is an amazing place. What they do for families and children is incredible. A UMOM representative will be joining us at our January Girls Night Out to help spread awareness and answer any questions about UMOM you might have! If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity, “Read to Me” at UMOM is an awesome way to do it! If you’d like to support this charity, they can always use donations of toiletry items, clothing, and household items. Please feel free to email me with any donation questions you may have about donations!
Get Ready! Get Set! Get GIRLS NIGHT OUT! Our first event is just around the corner! January 24th will be Phoenix Housewives in the City’s first Girls Night Out! It will be held at O.H.S.O Brewery- Arcadia. O.H.S.O is a favorite spot of mine, and I am super excited to be working with them to put on this event! O.H.S.O Brewery has an amazing atmosphere on their back patio! It’s great for Happy Hour, Brunch, Dinner…you name it! They have recently extended their talents to distilling spirits, not just brewing some of the best beer in town! Their line of # spirits, include, vodka, gin, and rum. And they are fantastic! When setting up the event, I was also informed that they have just released the new “Arcadia Series” of flavored vodkas, and they will be featuring a few “Houswives” cocktails, using them for the event!
It’s going to be a great night out! Grab your girl friends, or come make new ones….or both! Drop in between 5:30 and 8:30, mingle, have a cocktail and check out our vendors, with whom you can chat and shop. We will also have swag bags for a number of guests! If you are interested in being a vendor at this event please e-mail me and we will get you set up!
Our events are FREE to attend! Let us know you're coming on Eventbrite and Facebook. Grab some girls and come out and join us! Keep updatedon this and future events by liking our Facebook Page!
Can't wait to see your smiling faces!!!!
