We also were also honored to hear from 2 great ladies about important issues. Barbara Thompson, spokeswoman for First Citizens Bank, came to represent Teen Cancer America. First Citizens Bank has teamed up with the organization to help raise awareness and funding to open the door to better cancer care for young Americans. Teen Cancer America makes it possible for teens to have their own specialized facilities and services in hospitals across the country so they don't have to go to pediatric or adult cancer care centers. Going to 2016 Southern Women's Show will also help this cause - a portion of this Sunday's ticket sales will go to Teen Cancer America!
Barbara Grufferman, author of The Best of Everything After 50, spoke about the importance of moving every.single.day and not being embarrassed or ashamed of the changes our bodies go through, as women, as we age. She'll also be speaking at the Always Discreet exhibit on Friday about positive aging and living! Always will also be giving out free coupons and samples.
Don't forget to visit the Belk Beauty Pavilion also! There will be representatives from all brands that are sold at Belk including: Benefit, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Bobbie Brown, Dior, Clarins, Clinique, Laura Mercier, Elizabeth Arden, P&G Fragrances, Coty Prestige, Aramis, L’Oreal and Parlux. Makeovers and samples will be available to all guests along with discounts on great gift sets!
Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. So grab a friend and head on out to the NC State Fairgrounds this weekend for the 2016 Southern Women's Show! You won't be disappointed!
