![]() Our March 30th 1 Year Anniversary Bash Girls Night Out event was at Aloft in downtown Raleigh. It's now been one year since our first Raleigh Housewives in the City GNO! I've loved every minute of it and can't wait to get to know even more of you in the months and years to come. We've been to this Aloft location several times and we always have lots of fun. ![]() Sprouts Farmers Market has come to North Carolina and they’ve opened their first store right here in good ol’ Raleigh. If you’ve never heard of, or been to, a Sprouts store, you’re in for a treat. The 30,000-square-foot store had their Grand Opening on Wednesday. They pride themselves on fresh, natural foods and the best quality of all items. The majority of their business and store square footage is occupied by the giant produce department. With the option of organic or non-organic along with specialty produce that you will not be able to find at other grocery stores or farmers markets, the selection is outstanding. Besides the variety, the pricing is great too - much cheaper than I’ve seen at other local grocery stores! ![]() There is also a great selection of fresh cut meats - and even a butcher onsite to cut your meat in whatever fashion you’d like. If you like sushi, you’ll be in heaven too with freshly prepared selections everyday. Additionally, there is a deli, juice bar, bakery, and make-your-own salad bar. “You may not find your usual big name brands like Coke or Tide, but what you will find is better-for-you options in each category of items,” says Erin Miller, a Sprouts PR representative that graciously gave a few local bloggers and myself a tour around the store on Tuesday evening just before the big Grand Opening. Although you may not find every familiar brand that you see in a traditional grocery store, you can still count on Sprouts to fulfill your entire shopping list. ![]() Then there is my favorite part of the store - the bulk food section. With hundreds of bins and barrels filled with different types of rice, nuts, dried fruits, granolas, trail mixes, baking essentials, spices, and sweet treats, it’s a great way to buy only what you need and not have to worry about wasting what you don’t use or having to find a place for it in your pantry. Some of the items are also in prepackaged containers so you can grab-and-go or you can even bring in your own containers if you’d like to avoid using the plastic bags that you’re just going to throw away anyway. Have a dietary restriction or like to support local? No problem. Sprouts has every item color labeled for specialty items that are local, vegan, non-gmo, paleo, dairy-free, or gluten-free making it much easier to shop for those items. ![]() Sprouts even has their own app. The new mobile coupon app makes it even easier to save on Sprouts' already low prices! Simply download the Sprouts app for iPhone or Android, create an account, digitally clip your coupons, and then scan the barcode at checkout. Along with the coupon app, keep an eye on your mailbox or sign up for the Sprouts emails. Most grocery stores run their weekly ad from Wednesday to Tuesday. Well, Sprouts has 8-day ads which means that since their ads run from Wednesday-Wednesday, you'll get double the amount of sale items to shop on Wednesdays. Take advantage of that plus the coupon app to maximize your savings each week! CONNECT WITH SPROUTS
![]() Our February 28 Girls Night Out event was at Vita Vite. Located in the Warehouse District, Vita Vite is downtown Raleigh's premiere wine bar and art gallery. It features a variety of 20 carefully-selected wines and artwork from 10 local and regional artists. Owner Lindsay Rice decided to open Vita Vite as a way to blend her two passions - fine art and wine. She wanted to create a comfortable space to help people visualize the artwork in their homes - all while enjoying a glass of wine. We all had a great time in this beautiful venue and hope to go back again very soon! But if you were unable to make it, you can still contact our vendors below to get more info and do some great shopping. Our next event is our One-Year Anniversary Bash at Aloft in downtown Raleigh on March 30. You can see a list of our upcoming events on our Facebook events page. See you soon! |
