This exciting new addition is a Krispy Kreme kiosk which resembles the brand’s iconic green and white doughnut box! Few restaurants in this town last 40 years but Snoopy's Hot Dogs & More original location on Wake Forst Road has done just that. Through all kinds of food trends, Snoopy's has found the right combination of fast, friendly, affordable, comfort food and really who of us Raleighites hasn't hit Snoopy's late night on our way home at least once?
Snoopy's will be celebrating their 40th anniversary on September 9th – 15th at all 5 stores. They will be giving away & be selling 40th Anniversary Snoopy’s t-shirts, having a 1/2 price hot dog special all week, and be giving away 5,000 wooden nickels good for $1 off an order of $5 or more the following week.
Snoopy's began in 1978 when Steve Webb, a long-time Raleigh resident, transformed an old gas station on the corner of Whitaker Mill Road and Wake Forest Road into a traditional eastern NC grill. Serving made to order hot dogs, burgers, and fries.
His wife, Sarah, left her career as an elementary school teacher and joined him a year later. Today, Snoopy's offers more items like chicken salad, chicken sandwiches, BBQ, and homemade soup during the winter months.
Larry and Casey Cerilli joined the Snoopy's family as partners in 2006. The Cerilli's are now 50/50 partners with Steve and Sarah Webb, and are in charge of operations at all 5 stores.
The Webbs are still actively involved in the business. Sarah sends out Snoopy's monthly newsletter, and Steve plans the marquee sign at the Wake Forest Road store.
The Webbs and the Cerillis know it isn't just about serving great affordable food. They believe that it is also about giving back to the community. Snoopy's is active with several local charities- the SPCA of Wake County and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. There are collection boxes for the SPCA of Wake County at each store and on the last Wednesday of each month, $1 is donated to them for every tea sold that day. Snoopy's also participated in the Shamrock Campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Eastern NC each year.
