![]() The Got To Be NC Festival, presented by Lowe's Foods, will be held this weekend at the NC State Fairgrounds. If you've never been, you've been missing out...and you should definitely plan to attend. Admission and parking are FREE. There will be something for everyone with attractions ranging from amusement rides and farms animals to tractors and musicians. If it's the farm equipment that interests you, make sure you're there on any of the three days at 1 pm for the Daily Tractor Parade. The parade will consist of local farmers that bring they're prize possessions, new and old, to show off as they tour around the fairgrounds. Or if the kids are looking to get up close and personal with some farm animals, there's plenty to choose from. There will be pig races, pony rides, and you can even try your skills at milking a cow. If you're looking for the more competitive attractions, then be sure to attend the tractor and lawnmower pulls, the NC FFA Gator Wars, or the Raleigh Trans Jam BMX Contest. There will also be lumberjack and lineman demonstrations. If it's music that you're after...look no further. The Got to be NC Festival has that taken care of. There will be a Bluegrass Band Competition, where the bands will be competing for up to $500, on Saturday at 11 am on the Waterfall Stage in front of Dorton Arena. But there will also be performances by Hicksboro Station, Nu-Blu, and North Tower. And for the kids, Tyris Jones will be offering Storytelling during all 3 days of the festival. Be sure to check out the music schedule and lineup so you don't miss a thing!
