SATX Housewives in the City had so much fun in the delicious Revolucíon Coffee and Juice Bar!
We celebrated our health with refreshing cold pressed juice, avocado toast, and chilly açaí bowls. The shop gave all the guests 15% off any order and made cool set ups for the Seersucker Gin.
Seersucker is a locally distilled southern style gin owned by the gorgeous Kim Azar and her husband. They gifted 2 mini bottles in every swag bag and passed out free cocktails at their pop up bar.
Seersucker is my personal favorite gin and has become extremely popular in local bars. It has more citrus notes unlike most gins that are plump with herbal botanicals. Be sure to check them out next time you stop into the liquor store.
Our guest enjoyed shopping from local boutiques, skin care and more. The CBD station did an amazing job at educating guests about the benefits of CBD, Jill of Ever Skin Care shared what makes natural skin care different and and Kaitlyn of Farmhouse Market helped guests pick out stylish home goods from her pop up shop (did you know they do interior decorating also?). I loved hearing from Rechelle from European Body Contouring on how you can address stubborn fat areas using non invasive treatments, drooling over the dresses from Common Roots Boutique and checking out the new bio cellulose masks from Mary Kay.
The first 50 guests received SWAG bags filled with fun gifts from the vendors, special deals and samples!

Guest we also able to take advantage of complimentary wine from Jack Cellars, a locally owned wine company by Rob Myers. My favorite was the crisp chardonnay, a perfect summer wine.
In the heart of the city you can find Alamo Beer Company Brewery, a chill place to enjoy some locally brewed beer, take in downtown views and play fun outdoor beer garden games like corn hole!
SATXHousewives took over Alamo Beer in May to host our Babes and Brews Sip and Shop!

Once you're in your thirties, date nights can get a little boring. Dinner and a movie? Done it a thousand times, We like to get creative with our kid free evenings and when we were invited to throw some hatchet followed by the letters BYOB, say no more.
Stumpy's Hatchet House has everything you need for a fun night out. It's only $27 to rent a booth for an hour or $40 for two hours. Considering you get to bring your own booze, which they put on ice for you (nice touch!), this ends up being a very affordable date night. The booth has two targets and two hatchets. Sign a waiver in case you do something stupid and chop off a toe and then one of the coaches will teach you different ways to throw the axe, how to stay safe and have fun. Most importantly, don't be an axehole. Fortunately, fun is the easy part.. There is a scoreboard and various games to play once you feel comfortable throwing an axe and a bell to ring when you hit the bulls eye
Bobby, the owner, is down to earth and you can tell he truly loves helping people have a good time. All of the instructors are cool and happy to serve, but I must say we particularly had a blast getting to know Q. Ask for him, he's one of the best throwers and is great at helping you adjust your throw.
There is a snack bar, but you're free to bring in your own food as well. They also have a private party room and is a great choice for your next birthday or corporate party. Or a my boyfriend just cheated on me and I need to throw an axe at his face party. They do those too.
FYI, I rang the bell three times. ;)
We welcomed Spring with a fun night at Kona Grill La Cantera sipping on Saké Sangria and munching on Kona's legendary apps.
Ladies lined up to get their swag bag tickets and meet our local featured businesses. Their first stop was Julia Artega, owner and designer behind Canela Jewelry. Her jewelry was so popular because of the trendy unique designs and affordable options. Julia's joyful smile and savvy business spirit drew us all in and my husband even picked out a few pieces for my upcoming birthday. Follow her on Instagram @canela.satx to place orders ands see all the pieces she has!

Every year St. Patrick's Day comes around and with it comes nasty green drinks made with dye, corn syrup and other ingredients that don't love on your body.
Try this simple recipe that both you and your kids will love, without any guilt.
Put it in a fancy glass if you need to.
2 cups of milk (whatever kind is your fave)
1 cup of ice
1-2 scoops of Spirulina powder
1/2 -1 dropper of liquid stevia (or whatever sweetener you fancy)
1/3 cup chocolate chips (I prefer sugar free chips sweetened with stevia)
1-2 drops of doTerra peppermint oil
1 scoop of collagen or vanilla protein powder to enhance protein content (I prefer Vital Farms collagen or doTerra's Vanilla Trim Shake powder)
1 cup of spinach for added fiber and veggie power
1 tsp MCT oil to boost fat burning power
These are approximate "measurements: cause I'm more of a throw it all in there and see what happens kind of chef unless I'm baking, so add more or less of any ingredient you love or tolerate.
Blend all the ingredients together at once and serve!
Top with real whip cream and sprinkle a little spirulina powder for fun!
Be like the Irish and make your own luck. Join us April 9th 5:30pm at The Rustic to make new friends, network and shop while sipping on delicious hand crafted cocktails. Did I mention the complimentary apps?!
The relaunch of the San Antonio Housewives in the City Ladies Night Out event was a smash hit!
We are only two weeks away from our next event "Spring Fling" Sip and Shop at Kona Grill of La Cantera.
Women were eager for the event to start, creating a line to get in and lasted an hour and half into the event. The first 50 women received Swag Bags sponsored by Athleta full of amazing goodies, including the cutest little earrings made by artist Maggie of Margrít Co. She donates 15% of her sales to Down With Business, a fund that benefits individuals with down syndrome. You can find her amazing handmade jewelry here!
Everyone who attended was able to enter in a chance to win a gorgeous black and gold doTerra backpack filled with Rosé, spa gifts and a $150 Recovery Day package to CryoFit of Leon Springs!
The featured businesses were busy connecting and sharing with the guests from the very start of the event! San Antonio is home to so many talented entrepreneurs and we were so fortunate to have some of them there representing the businesses they have built.
Every good business owner knows that networking and getting to know people in your city is crucial to a successful thriving business. These #bossbabes had a fabulous time growing their business and finding ways to serve their community even more. They went home with cute jewelry and clothes from The Nod Boutique's Pop Up Shop, learned about the best alternative to a bra at the Ruby Ribbon table and and geared up for Valentine's Day at the Pure Romance station.

And No, it's not a click funnel
I truly believe one of the most challenging skills when you run your own business (or two) is to have the discipline to step back and carve out time to work ON your business (not just in it).
I'm talking about GOAL SETTING. It's not a trendy hastag. It's ESSENTIAL to achieving financial success.
This requires you to intentionally ignore the never ending to dos, notifications, demands and that nagging voice that whispers to cross one more thing off your list.
Yet, less than 10% (give or take depending on what research you source from) of business owners actually write their goals down. And of those 10%, maybe 3% write down CLEAR and VIVID goals. Here's the kicker, in a Harvard Business study they found that of the 3% of graduates from their MBA who had their goals written down, ended up earning TEN TIMES as much as the other 97% put together, just ten years after graduation. Why the heck would you skip this crucial business step?
Every January, I lead a webinar where I coach others through a reflection of the previous year. We take inventory of win/challenges and the lessons learned. Then we look ahead and become very clear on what we desire more of, set goals and determine the habits and actions needed to accomplish them. Admittedly, it's easy to lead a call, but I still have to set aside my own time to practice what I preach. So I use an amazing guide to support this process called The Beautiful Life Blueprint by Ange Peters of Hol:Fit. You can download this yourself here!
Tips for making the most out of this sacred practice:
So dear business owners, entrepreneurs and side hustlers, WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS.
Make them visible where you can see them everyday. Share them with a like minded soul who will support you, be ecstatic when you crush them and hold you accountable when you feel like giving up.
May your 2019 be a year full of intentional living, more joy and MORE MONEY!
