When I first laid eyes on this artist she captured me. She had taken to the runway stage for a quick photo by her husband. Not many probably noticed but I did. And then when I realized she was a designer at the fashion show it made a little more sense.
Giovanna DizZurita and I bumped into each other again at an International Fashion panel this spring. Everyone there was intrigued by this artist’s new twist on fashion. She creates art on canvas and has now started to screen print the images onto material for items to be made- Custom clothes and home decor. From dresses to t-shirts to pillows and backpacks she is spreading her art all around.
Gio is a gem to be around. She is charming and vibrant about her work. Her husband is sweet and supports his wife in all her efforts. Gio has a mixed media style all her own.
This past Saturday Grio’s Gallery highlighted some new artwork and some new duds. Complete with a catwalk, dj and ordering station this event showcased Gio’s originality and creativeness.
If you are ever down at the Alley on Bitters be sure to stop in her gallery. And next time she has a runway, don’t miss it.
"Think like a Queen. A Queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness" -Oprah Winfrey
This is my mantra on life and how I live. I am not scared to fail because that motivates me more if I do. I learn to live one day at a time and will never be too old for it.
I enjoy spending time with boyfriend whether it's traveling, reading a book, trying new eateries or playing with my dog. I find myself as easy going as it gets.
