I straddled the seat. I griped the handles. The attendant came over and pushed down the lap bar. And I lept forward to a garage, reporting for duty, on the next SeaWorld animal rescue team. A dolphin needed rescued!
3, 2, 1…………..Launch!
Headed up and over the first “wave,” this Wave Breaker Rescue Coaster is unlike other coasters I have experienced. Feeling totally exposed, with no harness or enclosed car, makes the feeling of being on a jet ski more surreal. I loved how close to the water I felt, but never actually touching the water or getting wet..
I got whipped around on quick bank turns, fast whoop-de-do’s and serpentine boosts throughout the three minute ride. I loved the way the coaster kept a consistent, fast pace, like I was in a hurry (like my life), while delivering a smoother ride than other coasters I have experienced. Truly a dynamic ride for me and my kids to enjoy. (*Note: must be 48” to ride)
Just like its namesake, Wave Breaker Rescue Coaster was designed to give the rider the same experience a SeaWorld Rescue Team member might have as they rescue various animals out in the ocean. This information was totally new to me. I was unaware how involved SeaWorld is in rescuing animals in the wild. And depending on the animal's issues, they may even get released again.
Sea World delivers a fresh new experience with this type of launch rescue coaster. Spanning 2,600 feet of coaster and reaching speeds of over 40mph, this rescue coaster is nestled between the Great White and Steel Eel coasters, close to the arcade and penguin exhibits. It is the perfect addition to the small coaster family here at SeaWorld San Antonio.
What an honor it was to be partnered with Sea World to help them launch the new ride, Wave Breaker and to enjoy the VIP party Grand Opening. As a blogger here in San Antonio it has been a privilege to experience Sea World at its fullest this year with various special attractions such as, Choo Choo Soul at the Just For Kids weekends this Spring and the Seven Seas Food and Wine tasting a few months ago.
I will be looking forward to the fall for Spook-tacular shows and surprises to come my way. And until then we will keep riding the Wave Breaker and checking out the baby orca.
"Think like a Queen. A Queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness" -Oprah Winfrey
This is my mantra on life and how I live. I am not scared to fail because that motivates me more if I do. I learn to live one day at a time and will never be too old for it.
I enjoy spending time with boyfriend whether it's traveling, reading a book, trying new eateries or playing with my dog. I find myself as easy going as it gets.
