Paladar is a Latin American restaurant with a cuisine inspired by Central & South America, Cuba and the Latin Caribbean. It is located inside Annapolis Towne Centre near the free valet parking. I love the decor of this place it reminds me of somewhere in Cuba with the colorful walls and booths to the funky unique lighting.
On more than one occasion, I have stopped in to partake in the daily happy hour. My personal favorite drink is the Mango-Cilantro Margarita, sounds like a crazy combination right?? But it tastes so good!
Over the weekend I stopped in to have dinner rather than Happy Hour. We decided to try some new things since we had never had dinner here before. For drinks we ordered a Rum Punch and a Pomegranate - Ginger Margarita. Once again the drinks did not disappoint! Our waitress who was super helpful, let us know that with the fresh guacamole you can add additional items like Jalapenos, Mango, Shrimp and even BACON! There were several other options but we decided on shrimp and it was yummy! We can't wait to go back and try a different combo!
For starters we had the Braised Beef Ropa Vieja and Jerk Chicken Skewers. Both were absolutely scrumptious! The Jerk Skewers have a mango jerk sauce that gives it a sweet and spicy taste.
Our main course ended up being the next days lunch because we stuffed ourselves on starters! We ordered the 21-DAY Dry Aged Skirt Steak Churrasco and the Mojo Marinated Sockeye Salmon. The skirt steak comes with chimichurri (Chimichurri is a popular South American sauce that generally accompanies meat) and the flavors pop in your mouth! The salmon was out of this world, you can taste the season of the marinade in every bite. All and all we were delighted to discover that Happy Hour wasn't the only thing this place has to offer. We would recommend Paladar to anyone looking for great drinks and apps or for a great dinner dining experience.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are two of my favorite holidays. It's the the time of year where my family gets a chance to come together. I have a rather large family and we are spread out over the east coast so I love when we get a chance to spend some time. For me the holidays are about traditions. Some of those traditions are based around food!! Another reason to love the holidays! I started making this apple pie cheesecake a few years ago for Thanksgiving and Christmas and it has since become a tradition. As delicious as it is, it doesn't seem right baking it any other time of year. Even those who are not usually a fan of cheesecake love it. So I'm breaking tradition and sharing the recipe. Give it a try you are going to love it!!

I'm a wife and mom that works from home full time. I also own an online women's boutique. I love all things fashion, I love to cook and I enjoy a great glass of wine anytime I can!
I'm new to blogging but have always worked in events and entertainment until about a year ago when I took my current job. I needed to have more flexibility and time as I became an instant mom. My husband was an awesome full time Dad but now he probably wonders how he did it without me!!
Life was much different a few years ago when I was single and ready to mingle!! I traveled at the drop of a hat, promoted parties, hosted celebrities for various events. It was a great ride but I've traded those party nights in for cooking dinner, baking cakes and football practice!! So when I saw this opportunity I couldn't jump fast enough. It was a chance to not only be social again but I could also put my event skills to work. It's so inspiring to work alongside women like myself that are juggling not only family but a million other endeavors. I am looking forward to making some great connections at our Girls Night Out events and showcasing some of the awesome businesses and restaurants Annapolis has to offer.
Join me on this journey, I hope to continue to grow and want to see you grow with me!
