Hello and Happy Thursday friends! I wanted to do a quick post on the amazing charity spotlight we had for our September GNO at Manuel's last week! We featured the Austin Humane Society and collected donations for all of their adorable animals, it was SO fun!
The AHS is a "savior for pets". The Austin Humane Society wants to save as many animals as possible. But they are a limited intake shelter, so due to space limitations, they are unable to accept every animal.
This is why adopters and fosters are SO important! Personally I've "rescued" or adopted two of my three Weiner dogs from shelters and they are the sweetest boys, both are so grateful and happy to be in a safe and loving home. I will always adopt from this point on rather than shopping at a pet store or breeder.
If you want to get involved with the AHS, they have a ton of events every month which you can find here and they are always looking for volunteers. Please reach out to them directly to donate, volunteer or even adopt a sweet little fur baby!
Shelter Operating Hours: Monday – Saturday: 12:00 – 7:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 – 5:00 pm
Adoption Center: 124 W. Anderson Lane
Austin, TX 78752
