Join me on March 25th at the The National Kidney Foundation Gala! I'll be in attendance and would love for you to join me for a fabulous Vegas Night Out while we bring awareness for the National Kidney Foundation.
The National Kidney Foundation serving North Carolina is hosting its second annual Kidney Gala on March 25 at Temple Beth El in Charlotte.
The “Vegas Nights” Kidney Gala will further the NKF’s dedication to awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease, and is one of many celebrations being held by the organization across the country this March for National Kidney Month.
“We’re thrilled about this year’s Kidney Gala, which will be an awesome time for a great cause – whether you’re a nephrologist or have to google that term,” said Rob Hayden, NKF Senior Development Manager.
Patients, Physicians and community leaders will be coming together to go “all-in” for kidney health. The Vegas Nights Kidney Gala will be an evening cocktail event featuring fine dining, games and entertainment.
“Kidney disease is more prevalent than you might think, but it doesn’t receive much attention. So the NKF is always working to make noise about the issue – in this case, via great live, local music from Thirsty Horses,” Hayden added.
The event follows last year’s highly successfully inaugural “Spurs and Sparkles” Kidney Gala, where 300 attendees enjoyed great food, drink and dancing while raising more than $46,000 for the NKF.
1 in 3 Americans are at risk for kidney disease and in North Carolina, 1 in 8 have kidney disease and don’t know it. The National Kidney Foundation provides patients and their families support, education and information through research funding and advocacy.
In addition to events like the Vegas Nights Kidney Gala, the NKF is encouraging all Americans to “Heart Your Kidneys” this month. The organization seeks to lift the kidneys to the status of other, better-understood, vital organs like the heart so that people better understand what kidneys do and why they are vital to sustaining life.
Gala tickets can be purchased directly at http://nkfgala.eventbrite.com. The “orange carpet” arrivals begin at 5:30 and entertainment begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. For more information call 704-519-0020 ext 622.
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is the largest, most comprehensive and longstanding organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease. For more information about the NKF visit www.kidney.org.
