Buffalo Wild Wings
For the tablets alone, that let you eat in semi-peace this is a top restaurant for us to go to. There is something for everyone. My kids eat the boneless wings, mama can get a healthy wrap and husband gets his spicy garlic while watching sports. It’s one of our family go-to restaurants!
We’ve been going to Salsarita’s for several years, back when we lived in Virginia so when we were driving on Gunbarrel and saw it we became regulars again. The kids love the tacos and I love the queso! Bonus is that they give a cookie with your kid’s meal for dessert!
This is worth the trip to North GA (Chickamauga/Rock Spring). With stellar pizza, arcade games to keep the kids busy and an in-house brewery for the adults you just can’t match it! They even have cornhole outside with a few tables which is perfect for the spring and fall.
Can you tell we like Mexican? What I love about Chuy’s is not just the creamy jalapeno dip for chips but that no matter what kids meal I order it comes with a Push Pop afterwards for the kids, which they love! I also enjoy that the food comes out FAST, another necessary win for moms out with little ones. I personally recommend the chicken tacos!
GOOD DOG Restaurant
I don’t know about you but my kids love hot dogs and this place makes them GOOD! Perfect for a quick bite when we just need to get in and out of somewhere fast but everyone can leave happy and full!
Here are a couple places that kids eat FREE:
Saturday & Sunday’s – Steak n’ Shake, Taco Mamacita, Community Pie
Tuesday’s – Golden Corral (another family fav for quick and easy), Fazoli’s, Moe’s, Mellow Mushroom
Wednesday’s – Good Dog
Thursday’s – McAllister’s Deli
Friday’s – Mellow Mushroom
Did I miss any? Is there a restaurant you want to add? Remember to double check for consistency since menus and locations change from time to time.
I believe good food is worth traveling for. I used to make my husband drive thirty minutes just so I could get my fajita fix! Ceniza is no different, this is a nice place when you want a change of scenery from downtown or chain restaurants. The indoor seating is smaller, but in the warmer months the patio is open to provide more seating and it's one of the few restaurants I've found in the area with outdoor seating. We got there at 6 PM on a Wednesday evening. The patio was pretty open and available as well as the indoor seating. Tagging along with me was our blog photographer Matt and his wife, who seemed to enjoy the environment just as much as I did.
The food was good, moderately priced with lots of flavor. The menu isn’t very expansive, but they have gluten free and vegetarian options, which is nice. They have about 5 or so beers on tap, but a good liquor assortment. They do mojitos by the pitcher and let me tell you their CFC Mac n Cheese is MORE than worth the trip alone, the chicken breast was HUGE and the mac was a perfect consistency (and I'm very picky on M&C).
Cenzia's Chef Andrew is wonderful, from his personality to his views and love for food, you can tell he's in the right environment for himself. Plus, the upstairs of Ceniza offers the C-Lounge which has Salsa every Friday AND a cigar room! The upstairs patio is probably my favorite (besides the amazingly bright painted walls) with it's custom ventilation system, you can hardly even tell anyone smokes cigars up there. Ceniza is a nice local place in Ooltewah and good Cuban food, that's kind of my bottom line! If you stop by tell Chef Andrew and out team OR you can join us on June 5th, 2018 for our Girls Night Out and experience it first hand.
