Ok, so maybe not WITH Anthony Bourdain but certainly with his favorite way to eat scrambled eggs!
I learned this recipe while watching one of his shows sometime last year and it has been on rotation in our family ever since.
Sour Cream + Bacon Scramble
Serves 2-3 People
You will need:
1/2 of a standard pack of bacon
2 tbs half + half
3 tbs of sour cream
2-3 green onions
Cut bacon into 1/2 " wide pieces and place in a medium frying pan. Fry bacon until cooked through; Can cook longer if desired. Drain most of grease from cooked bacon and leave on stove. Gently wisk eggs with half and half, pour over bacon. Cook at medium temperature, folding eggs over occasionally as you would any scramble; for fluffier eggs, fold less. When eggs are 3/4 of the way cooked ad 1/2 of the green onions and sour cream, folding together. Continue cooking until eggs are done; the sour cream will leave the eggs moist. Top with the rest of the green onions, add salt and pepper to taste. Great with sourdough toast on the side!
Note: This recipe is a take on Anthony Bourdain's scrambled eggs, not an exact replica.
Very excited to partner with Christina Wehbe Studios for this event, you won't want to miss this!
MY NAME IS CHRISTINA, I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER.
When the women I photograph see themselves through my lens, there is a shift in their confidence. We are all a little uncomfortable with the camera, and my job is to help you overcome it and to have a good experience along with the gorgeous photos.
I photograph men and women, I especially enjoy photographing women who are looking to transform their image for fabulous personal branding and glam photographs. The makeovers we do at the studio are a full magazine photoshoot experience. To have a celebrity style photoshoot or a vanity fair kind of shoot is empowering. If you are looking for a business headshot only, I love those too, they are our gateway to the world! You will look spectacular and your photos will be brag worthy.
Through portrait photography, I photograph mothers who reconnect to themselves and realize it's OK to be fabulous and to come back to yourself after years of having little babies. Those are the women who come back to their power and they want to be the woman that they want their children to meet when they are older.
This weekend my husband and I finally made it to Shakou, a Japanese restaurant located in Barrington IL. We have been eyeballing this place for weeks but reservations are hard to come by and the place is always packed. I have to say, I can see why! Shakou's St. Charles location was named one of Forbes Best of 2016 and together they have been recognized in the Chicago Tribune, Quintessential Barrington, Suburban Life, Chicago Sun-Times, Modern Luxury NS, along with many other platforms. They did not achieve this by accident; this venue has amazing chill vibes, perfectly balanced decor set somewhere where trendy and romantic meet. Cool lights bounce off of carefully placed artwork, leaving a beautiful ambiance accompanied by euphoric house beats, subtly bumping in the background.
I ordered a Snow Cosmo made with cherry vodka and the Seven Spicy Ahi, "butter toasted sushi rice, topped with spicy tuna, jalapeño, citrus mayo and tobiko" AND I WAS IN HEAVEN. Simply the best.
