so WE went to a cyclones game
As most of you who follow along on face book know we took the girls to a Cincinnati Cyclones game at the Heritage Bank Center.
We decided to take the girls because it was Nickelodeon Paw Patrol night which is Nixon my oldest favorite cartoon at the moment so I thought it would be nice for her to see and little sister Nolyn does whatever big sister likes.
"There was Fire"
I had not been to a hockey game probably since I was 8 or 9 years old so it’s been a really long time and I wasn’t sure what to expect.
First off we had so much fun! My kids 2.5 and 1.5 were pretty content most of the game and we didn’t even have to leave early! Which is a win because we don’t even go out to eat often because the my get antsy at restaurants in just a few minutes.
The first part that caught our attention was at the opening when they introduced all the Cyclones players. There was fire, fun music, and the crowd was excited!
Through out the game as teams scored they either played music or a buzzer depending on who scored. They had fun entertainment and games on the screens between periods. My favorite was when they had a lion king moment and you seen everyone holding their kids and babies up to the sky me included, Nolyn had a lot of fun with but we didn’t make on the Jumbotron haha.
Probably the best part for us adults was watching the game and the hockey fights! (I mean that’s why people watch it right?)
fight to the end!
We got to watch the Cyclones win over Indy Fuel 6-5!!!
My husband enjoyed it so much we went to another game Saturday night for date night!
The ticket prices are reasonable and they seemed to be available all the way up until the game started. We bought ours at like 10 Friday night once we secured a sitter.
I definitely recommend taking the kids, go out on a date night and have fun enjoying one of our local sporting events! They have a game this Friday so check it out!

Well last week we had our so much fun Galentines event hosted at West Side Brewing, one of my favorite breweries in the city.
I know we had some rain last Wednesday so we had some of you ladies skip out one me I promise my feelings aren’t hurt. But thats because I know you will be there for the next event coming up soon in March at Blinkers Tavern!
Here is what you missed if you didn’t make it out to Galentines or a recap of all the fun we had if you were there.
Here is what you missed.
We had had some awesome boss babe businesses featured including Leeann with Mary Kay, Color Street with Jami, the very stylish T’s chic boutique, a Wellness company, some amazing home decor and custom tumblers, and lets not forget a professional headshot photographer!
And lets not forget West Side brewing had us the hookup on some great beverages! They had a food truck featured at the brewery that night as well that was providing Rustic Urban Cuisine that instead of paying a set price you paid what you could to support the Non Profit Organization. Which was also yummy Vegan food!
I handed out Roses to all of our lovely ladies who made it out to the event as well as had cupcakes and chocolates to celebrate all of the lovely ladies who support us!
I hope you can make it out to one of our upcoming events in March! We actually are featuring two events and one is even on a Saturday so you have options!

As most of you know last week I attended the premier show Cirque Du Soliel Axel at the Heritage Bank Center.
Axel is only 2nd on ice show Cirque has done in 35 years. The show includes 85 cast and crew members from all over the world!
Axel the star of the show sang original songs as well as hits from bands such as The Bee Gees!
The choreography was amazing show on ice, the skaters could do any move you would see on in Olympic competition as well as acrobats with their skates on.
During my backstage tour I was able to watch the performers get ready for the premier, practice stunts, choreography, and see some of the costumes for the performance. For this show they have around 500 costume pieces that come to every city with them! Crazy right?
They also have cooks and kitchen setup to help keep the performers and crew fed through out their stay.
One of my favorite things from the show that I got to see a sneak of behind the scenes is the Russian swing, this is the first time it has ever been performed on ice, so for me it makes it even more special to watch!
Also my other favorite scene was when the performers were using the chain for their performance. I love aerial silks it’s one of my favorite things to watch and I’ve never seen it done on chains but it was completely amazing!
If you have never seen a cirque Du Soliel show I definitely recommend trying to catch one when it comes to town. They are by far one of my favorite types of shows to attend.
You can look up shoes and get your tickets here:
I hope you can make it to a show soon! I know I am checking out tickets now to the the show OVO coming to Louisville this spring!

An inspirational and musical storyline
Axel, a young graphic artist and musician, dives into his hand-drawn universe as he falls in love
with the captivating Lei. Together they jet off on a fast-moving quest to retrieve the stolen light
from the supervillain Vï. In this epic fantasy, graphic art and music intertwine to create the
super-charged world of AXEL. Spectacular ice skating, breath-taking acrobatics, pop-rock music
and vibrant visuals create an energetic and immersive experience for the whole family.
In Cirque du Soleil AXEL, the music serves a narrative thread guiding our characters and our
audiences as they journey with Axel and Lei to discover that true love shines even brighter than
the most radiant star.
This newest Cirque du Soleil creation brings a new look to the world of ice skating by introducing
us to the discipline of freestyle skating. This fresh take on skating combined with the skill and
power of traditional pairs, solo, and adagio work allows Cirque du Soleil to set the stage for
high-caliber ice skating of all kinds.

I’m so excited to see everyone at this event on Wednesday!
his year we are traveling to Columbus to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. My sister in law is hosting, when I asked what to bring this year she said “all the food is covered so maybe bring drinks or a signature cocktail.” Well that’s right up my ally! I have rounded up a couple of drinks that are great holiday drinks, most you can even make without alcohol for a yummy drink for the entire family!
I searched through several Pinterest recipes I follow the Trim and Healthy Mama plan (at least try to most of the time) so that’s what I searched first and decided to go with for my signature cocktail I’m taking tomorrow.
I am making a Cranberry Wassail I made a non alcoholic version this week to try it out I like it a lot it was very sweet and tart but lots of holiday spices to! Tomorrow I plan to add a splash Prosecco to it to make it even more fun! You could add a LaCroix or Bubly water for non alcoholic fun to!
This drink can be enjoyed warm or cooled over ice as well.
Here is the the link to the recipe by Brianna Thomas.
Next is my favorite drink a Moscow Mule, now this one has been turned into a fall treat and is now an Apple Cider Mule but it sounds so yummy and I think I will definitely be giving it a try!
Who doesn’t love champagne and mimosas? Here is a quick holiday Cranberry Mimosa recipes that takes less than 5 minutes to make!
This last recipe looks so good! I mean sorbet in champagne.... yes please!
I know it’s called Santa’s little helper but I think this drink will be fine to go ahead and test out on Thanksgiving.
Let me know if you try out any of these drinks this weekend! I’m hoping to try out more than one!
One week ago today we had Friendsgiving at 13 below brewery! Here is what you missed and all the fun we had!
13 Below is a super chill brewery tucked away on the Ohio river right off of US 50 near Cabana's restaurant. They have a great beer selection brewed right here in the queen city. Also they have recently started serving the incline smoke shack featured every night with great BBQ, burgers, and giant pretzels with beer cheese!
Here is the contact for all of our featured businesses at the event, I know I had a great time talking to each one and meeting all of these great people!

Alright alright I’m sure almost everyone in the world knows Disney+ came out this week right? I just want to throw my quick thoughts out there about the new streaming service.
Who else has been binge watching all the Disney+ movies and shows available? I mean you are able to go on the app and go back to your early child good, teenage years, and of course the more recent you have probably enjoyed with your own kiddos right?
But seriously the vault classics, Hannah Montana, Lizzie McGuire, Star Wars, Marvel, and the dang Pixar short films I mean come on it really does have something for everyone!
I really feel it is very affordable for the $6.99 a month or $69.99 it’s definitely worth it and you get a lot more than some of the other streaming services. And it’s ad free it can’t get any better! Also another perk is you can add on Hulu and ESPN (I mean there has to be something in for those sports guys out there right?)
I only signed up for the 7 day free trial since my husband wasn’t on board for it but I definitely think we will be doing the package with Hulu for $12.99 a month since I am already streaming why not add Disney+
I do really do like it so far and plan to watch well pretty much everything on there! Just kidding well maybe ;) but it will be nice when it catches up to everyone in the world watching at times freezes up.
Overall I would definitely recommend all Disney lovers out there start streaming Disney+ today!
Those of you that have finished started your Disney+ binge what has been your favorite thing to watch? I have enjoyed watching a few classics but right now I'm in a Christmas mood so I have been watching a lot of those!
Meet Joyce the leading lady over at Yellow Bloom!
Joyce is the boss babe and CEO at Yellow Bloom she is here to decorate, event plan, and create flower arrangements all around the Queen City! I met Joyce when she decorated the Red Hot Party at Fire Rivercenter in September. She did and amazing job and brought the red hot vision to life!
Tell us about your business.
Yellow Bloom is an event styling and decorating company that specializes in floral arrangements. Yellow Bloom will style or decorate any room, any event for any occasion. Such as, weddings, baby showers, birthday, anniversary, home decorating, home staging, table setting for 2 - 2000, and plan corporate events. Yellow Bloom creates customized floral arrangements for either special events and or just because. In addition, Yellow Bloom delivers weekly floral arrangements to businesses such as restaurants and as tokens of appreciation for either their employees and or their clients.
How did I get started event decorating? As a little girl, I enjoyed helping my mother decorate for special occasions and holidays. When I became an adult, I carried over a lot of my mother’s decorating traditions then elaborated on the details of decorating. Throughout the years, I have decorated and created flower arrangements as a hobby for myself and others. Recently, I stepped out on faith and created a platform, Yellow Bloom, to serve others with my God given talent of decorating. I inspire to serve others and make them feel like a Queen or King by relieving them of the stress of decorating details.
How did you become the successful businesswoman you are today?
LOL! I’m still trying to figure it out! I would say, what’s helping me so far is ..working hard, trusting and believing for God’s favor through the whole process, learning from mistakes, taking risks, applying all of my sales and business organizational skills, combing my personality with the desire to provide excellent customer service.
Describe yourself in three words: polished, spiritual, and a Go-Getter!
What do you consider your greatest professional achievement? Stepping out on faith and starting three businesses! Yellow Bloom, and soon to announce EverClear Mortgage Consultancy and Services, and I am still working on the building the foundation for the third business.
What are your professional goals for the next six months? I would like to see all three of my businesses thriving to the point where I will need to begin hiring staff to help run them all.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I have thought about going back to school to obtain a JD Degree which will help with me with my businesses.
How do you maintain a work life balance? Due to the fact, I am self-employed it has its benefits of being in control of my schedule. In addition, one of my husband’s and I philosophy is to work hard and play hard; therefore, we make sure we play as hard as we work.
What websites do you visit every day? I do not visit websites often; however, I am on social media quite often researching and posting.
What are your top three favorite people/places/things to do in your city?
I can’t name just three favorite people: My husband, my mother, my grandson, and my two daughters.
Three Favorite Places: fabric store, Goodwill, and hair/nail salon
Three Favorite Things to do in my city: Visit museums, eat at different restaurants, go out dancing and to concerts.
Do you have any advice for women who would like to start their own business? Yes, I have three:
1. When you start a business, make sure you select a field that you love so much you would be willing to do it for free.
2. Always remember that no one is as passionate as you are about your business or your vision for your business.
3. Never wait on anyone to help make your visions or dreams come true.
