I have a lot of friends that have been focusing on removing negativity and toxic relationships. situations and items from their lives instead of vying for a "New Years Resolution". It got me thinking about different cleanses. Not just a cleanse you do for your health and body but everything in your life. How to cleanse and rid of negativity in your life. These are a few of the things I came up with and how we are working on them in our house this month!
CLUTTER IN THE HOME
It seems like there is a ton of clutter around the house, especially after the holidays. Maybe you haven't put all of the holiday decorations away yet, or your unused dining room table is still littered with wrapping paper and gift tags from preparing gifts. Or, maybe it is just that you have now acquired a few dozen new items given to you as gifts and you aren't sure where to put it all. Don't let it overwhelm you. Start with one thing at a time and tackle them individually instead of looking at the situation as a whole. If you have a lot to go through, create piles of items that you would like to donate, throw away and keep, and then do just that! Once you have removed all of the excess, you will feel so much better!
Open your blinds and let natural light in. Crack a few windows to get the fresh air flowing through your home. Make a list of things you're grateful for and a separate list of things, and even people, that have been weighing on you in a negative manner. Take your negative list and tear it up and throw it away. Do what you can to prevent the negative from being too present in your life. Make a list of goals to help move away from any of the negative items.
Do something new for yourself and your health! A new yoga class. Eliminate sugars. Take a walk on your break at work. Drink more water. Do an actual cleanse and get rid of toxins. Eat a handful of blueberries before dinner. Fill that bowl on your desk full of oranges and apples instead of candy. Laugh. Take time to relax and eliminate stress. Meditate. Get a massage.
