22 years of business in Northern Colorado!
We had the pleasure of working with Tracy at our last GNO! She has a great energy about her and is such a fun woman to partner with! We were laughing out loud and also super impressed with her personal journey and strength! You need to schedule time to fall in love with her unique and beautiful jewelry line called Personally Poetic. It is a line that is new to our area and we had never seen anything with the same level of quality and style! If you are looking for someone to network with, or a new opportunity to host a party in your home, Tracy is definitely your lady!
We asked Tracy questions so that you could gain an understanding of this driven and loveable Leading Lady!
Tell us a little about you as a person.
I am a wife of 20+ years and a mother of two teen aged boys. We have lived in CO for almost 10 years now. Before that we spent 5 years living abroad in Central America. We are avid outdoors enthusiasts, enjoying hiking, camping, snowboarding and biking. I am also a tennis player, bible study girl, Al-Anon member and volunteer coach. I love going to concerts and dancing with my friends and meeting new women. You will often find me searching for treasures at thrift stores and antique markets.
Tell us about your business and how you became the successful businesswoman that you are today.
What I love most about Personally Poetic is the opportunity to really get to know women on an intimate level. Our gatherings are best with just a few women, usually sitting around the kitchen table, sharing with each other about what matters most in our lives. I then have the privilege of working with them to create a special heirloom piece of jewelry that commemorates their loves, losses, celebrations – their families. I have been able to deepen my existing relationships as well as beginning new ones. It has also been a blessing to be able to share this opportunity with other women so that they can earn an income, build their own confidence or simply give them an excuse to get out of the house with some girlfriends!
Tell us about your company and the product that you feature? What makes the company and product/service unique?
Personally Poetic was started by sister team Patti and Lizanne over 17 years ago. The “mother” company is Waxing Poetic and has been sold in boutiques since then. PP was started in 2016 so that individual consultants could work directly with our clients to create custom jewelry. One of the aspects that I love about the line is that all pieces are created by one artist, Patti. Her attention to detail, nature and beauty show through in each piece. Also the fact that all the jewelry is hand made sterling silver and brass by our artisans in Bali. We have worked with the same family facility for almost 20 years now offering sustainable work and more than fair pay. As we grow, we are able to support more families in that beautiful country!
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Blessed, Kind, Determined
What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?
I was proud to move up the ranks with Personally Poetic. In my first year I quickly became a Lead Consultant and I am very close to promoting to Team Leader, hopefully this month!! At our second conference, last month in Nashville, I was (surprisingly) given the honor of receiving the “Venturous Heart” Award, presented by the founding sisters, Patti & Lizanne.
What are your professional goals for the next 6 months?
I have set lofty goals for the remainder of 2018. I plan to double my team’s size. I am working closely with the women on my team to support them to build their own businesses. What I love about the culture of this company is that by encouraging others to succeed, we all win. I love seeing someone who had low confidence be built up!
How do you find balance between work and home?
I have definitely learned from my mentors to have specific “office hours” even though I work from home. I dedicate these times to make phone calls, arrange meetings, emails, etc. Of course the beauty of owning my own business is that I can be flexible but I do try to protect my family time.
Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would be spent in the woods hiking with my boys. Exploring nature, enjoying thoughtful conversation and having a picnic overlooking Colorado’s beauty. Pretty simple.
What personal development, websites and inspiration do you turn to for growth?
I am thankful to have an amazing support team with Personally Poetic. We have weekly motivational calls just with my team as well as with our corporate leaders. I also have daily reading books that I read every morning with my coffee before everyone wakes up. I love that quiet time to regenerate and prepare me for the day.
How do you plan for retirement and what do you see yourself doing then?
We have been making payments into our retirement funds for almost 20 years already. It was tight many months but we knew it was worth it. I definitely see myself continuing to travel and giving back wherever I go. After living for 5 years in Central America, I know I will be back there and working with the beautiful mothers and children of Nicaragua.
What advice do you have for other women that would like to start a business like your own?
Just Do It! There will never be a “perfect” time to start. Sometimes we allow ourselves to talk our selves out of opportunities. “I’m too busy” is the worst. Of course we’re busy, that is why it is so important to carve out time for you and find something fun and fulfilling for yourself! I have found that with Personally Poetic. Having a house full of boys, I need the girl time that small gatherings offer. There is nothing better for me than seeing on my calendar that I have plans for girlfriends, wine and jewelry, who doesn’t love that?!?
Any final comments you would like to share so we can learn more about you and how you inspire those around you?

22 years of business in Northern Colorado!
I asked Steph recently what she loved most about being a Realtor in Norther Colorado.....
"Northern Colorado is truly a magical place and an amazing community to call home! I love that still has a small town community feeling, where everyone is friendly and cares! Which in turn, makes my business amazing as everyone wants to be here! I have been selling homes for over 22 years now and it has never felt like work, it is not a job for me, it is my career!!! Helping others to make a good investment and to fulfill their dreams is number one to me!!! I don't care if I show someone 50 homes, it has to be the right home!!!
There is a lot of cool development in Old Town right now. If you haven't been lately, now is the time! Summer in Old Town is hiply dreamy (um.... that's something, right?) and this place fits in magically! Modern design with a breezy patio perfect for the Old Town vibe, and 22 craft beers on tap makes this an excellent place to hold our next Girl's Night Out!
I had the opportunity to meet with the owners, Rachel and Kyle Fromholtz and their sweetest littles, Savannah and Audrey! This family has a beautiful energy that you've just got to love and are living this new, cool adventure in Ft Collins, Co!
"Here's a little something about them!
"I am from Texas and my husband, Kyle, is from Ohio. We met when he moved to Texas in 2011 and were married the next year! We have two precious little girls, Savannah (4) and Audrey (1).
Why we chose Fort Collins and The Pizza Press?
I have always loved Colorado and my husband also fell in love with the beauty and the outdoors. Like most people who live in Fort Collins, we were drawn to so much of what it had to offer- from the beauty, culture, and Old Town.
My background is in business operations & management as well as marketing& communications, but I became a stay at home mom with my oldest daughter was just under 1 year. I come from a family of entrepreneurs and about 4 years ago Kyle decided he wanted to start something for himself. He created a customizations company focusing on laser engraving. Through time, he realized he was ready to expand into something else. We spent some time looking at different options, and when he went to a franchise expo in January 2017, he couldn't get The Pizza Press out of his mind. Although we had a two year old and 6 week old we knew there wouldn't be a better time later. So, we decided to take a giant leap of faith in starting our own The Pizza Press in Fort Collins. At the time the franchise only had a few open, and we are the first to open in Colorado. We liked the idea of being part of something small and being an integral part of its growth. We opened our doors on June 7, 2018.
What we love about The Pizza Press?
The Pizza Press is a build your own (we say "publish your own") pizzeria with tons of fresh toppings, sauce and cheese choices. I love the finishers like balsamic glaze or pesto that you can add on after it goes through our signature conveyor belt oven. On top of that, we love the beautiful ambiance and décor that we have in The Pizza Press. You don't have to wait long for food, and its perfect for kids, yet you can sit down and really enjoy where you are at. We have 22 craft beers and two wines on tap as well!
More about our location at The Exchange
Finding the right location was very important to us and we loved the idea of being in Old Town (who wouldn't!) We were so excited to learn about the new development called The Exchange on the northern tip of Old Town. It is going to have such a community feel. I love the green space we have right outside our patio. I can't wait to see families eating outside and kids having the opportunity to run around right there next to their parents (my kids have already been taking advantage of this). I think The Exchange will have a lot to offer Fort Collins and I see it being a hub of activity. More businesses and eateries will be opening in the coming months.
At the end of the day, we are a family with a dream and love being part of this city. We can't wait to see what the future holds."
You've got to just love this story, right? So, grab your Girls and meet us at The Pizza Press for our first Old Town event this year! We are still booking vendors and not all spots are filled as we have a TON of open-air space this month! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
