Date nights are nice, but I personally love date days because the opportunities of fun and adventure are endless when you have the daytime hours to enjoy it. So I want to share with you one of my favorite day dates in Fort Lauderdale. It combines four things I love: beach, trails, tacos and cocktails!
Head to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park for a walk through nature trails, feel like a kid on the swing, Take a photo under the beautiful tree then walk along the riverfront. This State park is filled with tropical hammocks, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
After a walk around the park, stop into Park and Ocean for lunch and a few cocktails or beer. I love this place! We go often, so I can say that I am a fan of the rotisserie chicken tacos and the Spiked Arnold Palmer. Emi enjoys the burgers and checking out what is on draft. The casual, natural setting of this restaurant bar is fabulous for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Fort Lauderdale weather.
Now that you're full, walk through the tunnel under A1A to Fort Lauderdale Beach for some sunshine and waves. Listen to some music, enjoy time together, and think about how great of a day date you just had!
Our first Girl's Night Out event will be held on Thursday, May 17th from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at Terra Mare inside the Conrad Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach! A beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location, made me fall in love with it as a perfect location for our launch, and I know we will have a great time!

Roses are red, violets are blue,
Millennial is Pink
And my champagne is too.
On my way to dinner at Homecomin' in Disney Springs I happened to see this beautiful pink minnie mouse ear champagne drink in the hands of a woman and set out on a mission to find one for myself. With a quick google search I found out this is a new drink called the Millennial Pink Celebration Toast was just released at Walt Disney World at the Amorette's Patissserie.
If you loved the rose gold trend or are a lover of the color pink and a Disney fan, then this may be exciting enough to make a special road trip to WDW soon! So the big question is What Is Millennial Pink? Best answer I found " it is sort of a grapefruit shade of apricotty salmon."
But as for this Disney created Millennial Pink cocktail - it is made with Fairy Tale Celebration Cuvee (cuvee is a fancy word for type of champagne) and it comes with a cute, eye-catching topper — a pair of chocolate Minnie Mouse ears that are actually chocolate. You can find this drink at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.
While enjoying this lovely cocktail, I found out that this is not the only Pink Millennial Treat you can splurge on at Disney World:
If you have a millennial pink treat at Disney, share it with me on Facebook!

I recently had the opportunity to stay the newest hotel on Hutchinson Island, located in the part of Florida known as the Treasure Coast in Martin County. This resort and spa is great for a weekend getaway with your girlfriends or your spouse or even as a family vacation...which makes it a well rounded hotel meeting the needs of everyone.
The Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa is part of the Opal Collection, one of my favorite hotel chains in Florida. The first new beach resort to be built on Hutchinson Island in 20 years, Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa opened in 2017. This relaxing beachfront hotel features two oceanfront dining spots, two swimming pools, a spa and beautiful coastal inspired guest rooms.
There are two pools on property -one is small with a handful of lounge chairs, a cozy poolside bar, and a beachfront view. The other pool is much larger and was my favorite hangout spot because of the ample lounge seating, a hot tub, towel service and the poolside bar service that delivered the perfect fruit cocktail as needed! The beach at Hutchinson Shores Resort is also fantastic - it is the perfect spot to enjoy a slice of the ocean with few people around.
The dining options at Hutchinson Shores Resort, are all serviced from one main restaurant, called Drift, but the food is available through room service, poolside at the outdoor patio or in the dining room. I enjoyed all my meals but dinner was one definitely worth writing about!
The restaurant allows you to go fancy or casual. So for a fun girls getaway, dressing up for dinner at Drift is perfect. The wine list is fabulous and extensive. I started with the roasted garlic hummus which came with a delicious olive-caper tapenade and crunchy sesame crackers. Then I selected the broken caesar salad and for my main entree I ordered the Blue Crab Crusted Grouper dish. All were superb.
