With fall comes all of my favorite things. I think the average person's favorite month is their birthday month, or the month of their favorite holiday. Mine. Well, it's October. I guess some would call be basic - except you can keep your PSL. I love the weather where I can walk outside in a sweatshirt and leggings. Pumpkin cheesecake ice cream, apple pie, carving pumpkins, driving with the windows down without fearing a heat stroke. There are so many things to appreciate about October. Fall festivals are another one of my favorites. If you've been in Gaston County for the last three years, you know that October is also GO Month and that means even more fun to have.
The general public has very little understanding about all of the extra organizations that work with our local governments to improve our communities. Well, the GGDC is one of those organizations and they are the force behind the Gaston Outside. GO Month involves experiencing all that Gaston County has to offer, and we've got a lot.

October 15-21 is Culture & Recreation Week
