Today, I heard WBTV's Molly Grantham speak at the "Women Who Rock" event. I've loved watching Molly for years. It might be during laundry folding, or in the background while I work on homework, but Molly is on our TV every day. Usually, she is a little busy communicating the news, but today she got to talk about herself, about how we are all one person in our role and another outside of work. She spoke about how we all quite literally conceal ourselves. We spend so much time covering up our true selves, whether it be with makeup or attitude. Why wait until January to make a resolution to find myself? I say now is a great time. Stop worrying about what other people want you to be. Accept when you're a hot mess and embrace it. What fun is it to have everything so together all the time (not that I would know)? Each and every one of us are a beautiful mess. Based on the small bit that Molly read, I would highly recommend you purchase her book too. It's a riot. Be sure to use Amazon Smile!
