When I moved here from NY four years ago, I was already accustomed to a life where everything was easy. When I moved there were things I had to get used to with looking to live in apartment living. Most of the locations do come with Washer and Dryer hookups or just a washer and dryer. Instead of comfort, I decided on Bigger the apartment luxury items like having an available washer and dryer really became important. With two kids and a husband planning your days to the laundry mat could be frustrating. Living without a washer and dryer sucks!
Going to the Laundromat can be easy!
Sort out your Laundry: Your day doesn’t have to belong at the laundry mat. You want to be able to get in and out. By putting your clothes in piles you are able to jump into machines and getting all your loads at the same time.
Pick an off Peak time to wash clothes: You will save lots of time and your energy when going at times when others aren’t. We all know that nights and weekends tend to be the time when everyone will be there. You will have your choice of machines during these non-peak times.
Do the Sniff test: Smell the machine before you put your clothes in. No one will tell you this but you don’t know you washed before you did. Save your dark clothes from ruined clothes.
Keep your self -busy: Bring something to read, update your social media or make a shopping list. Never leave your clothing unattended.
Streamline your Detergents & Fabric Softeners: Try Detergent & Softener Pods. These have been an awesome help when washing my loads, why? I am reducing the extra loads I must carry. You can throw some in a baggie and go!
Bring a Laundry Basket From Home: If you bring your clothes in a bag home you are increasing the chance for wrinkled clothes. Don’t make yourself do anything extra. Invest in some good laundry baskets.
