Asana:Hello project management! I’m slightly obsessed with crossing things off a to do list, and this free cloud-based app keeps all my projects in sync and moving along with assignments, deadlines, checklists, attachments, you name it. I used Trello for a couple of years and made the switch to Asana for all my client workflows and personal to do lists. You can even save your boards so creating a new project is a snap. Freshbooks:I can’t tell you how many hours this app has saved me. Gone are the days of word and excel for invoicing and tracking payments. Set up recurring or one-off invoices and let them work behind the scenes. Get paid online, track expenses, create proposals (and signatures upon approval- score), and even track your hours. Evernote:Let’s face it, ideas come and go quickly, regardless of your proximity to a computer. Evernote stores everything in one place from random notes, to books. No kidding, I have a client using this to write a book one free minute at a time. Personally, I use it to jot down social media captions before yoga class. Tailwind:This tool has been a total game changer in my business. Within the first month, Tailwind helped Pinterest become my #1 source of traffic to my website (like 85% of my traffic). That’s some serious action. The user dashboard is complex-looking at first, but with a little effort and help from the video tutorials, you can get up and running in an afternoon. Dropbox:Customer experience is important. Rather than sending bulking emails with attachments that tend to get lost, I organize a dropbox folder to share files. Branding clients love this because everything is neatly organized, no questions needed. Plus, if there’s a revision to be made, you can replace the file so there’s no duplicates or confusion. Canva:As a designer, I spend most of my time on Adobe programs, like Photoshop and InDesign, but I’ve been using Canva more and more to create easy-to-edit templates for clients. About Me: Gisselle Glaser
I am American Colombian that was born and raised in Florida, and I spend my childhood summers in Colombia. I have traveled internationally to Colombia, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Jamaica, Italy, France, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Canada, and Spain. I studied interior design at the Art Institute and worked in commercial design for 9 years. Moved to Seattle for 5 years, became a mom to a blue eye boy that has stolen my heart. Stayed home with him for 3 yrs. In Seattle I started refurbishing beautiful antique furniture. I got into 2 boutiques and then my position grew to helping these boutique market their stores. I helped them with events, social media, and space planning for the stores. On the 5th year of being in Seattle we can back to Florida. I was introduce to a lifestyle brand India Hicks and a Paris jewelry designer that befriended me through social media. I then signed up to get luxury one of kind accessories made by women for women into women's wardrobe that wanted accessories that were not mass produce and not in stores. This is how my own boutique was started and being brand ambassador to women brands became to be my brand.
Building a support circle
So, fun fact I was a cheerleader growing up. I loved it and still do. I now get paid to be cheerleader for other women brands. I love supporting women and their businesses. I truly believe they we should be able to build the career that we would like to have for ourselves. However, to grow your business I know you need the right connections, customers, and your own cheerleaders. I am so excited to build Housewives In the City Miami and meet all you ladies.
