Emilia Clarke (HBO's Game of Thrones), Henry Golding (A Simple Favor, Crazy Rich Asians) and Emma Thompson star for director Paul Feig (A Simple Favor, Spy, Bridesmaids) in Last Christmas, a romantic comedy inspired by a George Michael beat and written by Academy Award® winner Thompson (Sense and Sensibility, Bridget Jones's Baby) and playwright Bryony Kimmings.
Kate (Clarke) harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom (Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate's barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart ... and you gotta have faith.

One of our favorite monthy deliveries is from Sitka Salmon Shares. The boys love when when have a seafood night and cannot wait to dig into their fresh caught fish. Their monthly boxes have been great in not only helping save trips to the grocery store but also in providing us with some of the best seafood that we can get. There are so many great things about this company from the way that each box that comes in the mail tells you the fishermans name that caught you fish to how they give back. This is a great gift for yourself or for your friends/family this holiday season. Check out their latest special below.
Support Small Boat Fishermen:
The majority of our Sitka Salmon Shares fishermen live year-round in coastal communities like Sitka. They raise their families there, spend their money there, their livelihoods are based there, and they are invested in the sustainability of the community and ocean ecosystem. All of Sitka Salmon Share's seafood is harvested (aka caught) using low-impact gear to minimize bycatch and their fishermen take shorter fishing trips than the average fishing vessel, so they return with a fresher catch.
Sitka Salmon Shares Promise:
All of Sitka Salmon Shares fish are wild-caught in Alaska and the North Pacific by their community of fishermen. You won’t find any antibiotics or dyes; they only provide pristine fish from one of the most pristine places in the entire world! Sitka Salmon Shares’ standards for quality is among the best in the seafood industry; this includes the way that the fishermen handle fish all the way to their customer service. They return 1 percent of the gross revenue annually to efforts to promote small- scale fisheries and fisheries conservation in Alaska, including donating to causes like the Alaska Wild Salmon Fund.
How SITKA SALMON SHARES works:
Sitka Salmon Shares is a Community Supported Fishery (CSF) members purchase their very own "shares" of our harvest. Similar to preorders or vegetable shares ordered through your favorite CSA, these purchases determine how much fish our fishermen catch. After that, CSF members receive a monthly home seafood delivery, which is their "share" , of our wild Alaskan catch. Their "share" typically ranges between 4.5-5lbs per month and spans over a 3 to 9 month period during the CSF season (April thru December).

As a mom of three, I love celebrating the holidays and creating memories with my boys but I want to be able to do this in a way that isn’t going to break the bank. So today, I am sharing some of my tips for Planning a Halloween Party on a Budget. For this Halloween party set up, I gave myself a budget of $25 and stopped by my local Dollar General to see what all I could get.
Start with the Basics
For every party you have to start with the basics and build from there. You want to grab a fun Halloween theme table cloth, plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. Each of these items were $1 at Dollar General and I mixed Halloween themed items with the solid orange plates/cups and the black/white stripe napkins that I found in the party section.
Mix it up with a Party Mix
A party mix is always a fun addition to the table. With this you are able to mix several items to fit your theme and create a fun snack mix. For this Halloween party, I wanted to do a fun Fall mix. I added Clover Valley pretzel sticks, Clover Valley marshmallows, Clover Valley trail mix, and candy corn. The total for everything that I added to the trail mix was $5.50 and I purchased the bowl for $1 on the party supplies isle.
Grab your Fan Favorites
No party is complete without you favorite snacks. For this party, I thought that popcorn and rice crispy treats would be the perfect addition to our snack mix. I grabbed a bag of Smartfood Popcorn (under $5 for 12 individual snack bags) and a box of rice crispy treats (under $2) and added edible eyeballs to those ($1 in the party section).
Add those Finishing Touches
Once you have your party essentials, take a look at how much you have left in your budget and then add those finishing touches. For me, I added some glitter spiders ($1/pack) to set around the table, a pumpkin box ($1) to hold the silverware, a fun Trick or Treat bowl ($3) to hold the popcorn (which will also be used for on candy bucket on Halloween) and a spider net ($1) to use as a backdrop for the table.
While shopping at Dollar General I was able to stick with my $25 Halloween party budget and grab everything that I needed in order to make my party a success.
