Here is some history on The Little Black Dress (LBD). The LBD is an evening or cocktail dress in a Simone cut and usually very short. Many designers give credit to “Coco Chanel” for her 1920 designs. The dress was meant to be versatile, affordable, long lasting and be accessible to the widest market.
The LBD is considered an Essential piece of clothing in everyone’s closet. It is a piece that no wardrobe would be complete without. It can easily be dressed up or down. You can add a blazer and wear it to work...then take off the blazer, add some gorgeous jewelry , then you can head out for a night of fun.
Quality over quantity is the key to the Little Black Dress. Finding one that can last during multiple seasons is worth splurging on.
Don’t forget to wear your LBD on June 21st 2018 for our 1 year anniversary party at Blackbeard’s in New Bern, NC from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Not feeling the Little Black Dress? Wear whatever feels right! It's a suggestion not a requirement for sure.
If you don’t have a Little Black Dress stop by Juliette’s Boutique, Peacock’s Plume or Ann Lynn’s and pick one up. Remember no wardrobe is complete without one.
See you soon
