I absolutely love and adore pumpkin patches. I also really LOVE fall season..I don't know if it's the color orange that get's me excited or the fashionista in me strutting in high boots and warm scarves that get me feeling warm & fuzzy all over.. Maybe it's the FOOTBALL!!! I am also a fan of fall cocktails- mainly delicious sangria recipes by yours truly (me) The spooky Friday the 13th movies give me all the necessary FEELS as well.. Pumpkin Spiced Latte in a can.. HARD PASS. I prefer the PJs coffee shop Pumpkin Praline https://www.pjscoffee.com/.
The kids have so much fun at the pumpkin patches and the photos are always amaze! I try to take the girls every year. We usually try to get to a few pumpkin patches. There's nothing better than going to Pumpkin Patches with friends & family.. On Halloween weekend, we always attend our neighborhood trunk and treat. This year, we may explore to many more pumpkin patches. Here are a few in the area. I would love to be that mom who can give candy out on Halloween but I am usually in the streets hustling for candy with my kids. I would really like to see one in the Eastern New Orleans area, maybe at a church! Please let me know if I missed any in the area in the blog.

I am all about creating experiences for the kids. I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. I visited the ice cream shop a few months back and enjoyed a scoop of seasonal, vegan watermelon lemonade sorbet ice cream. The vibe in the Marigny is colorful, sassy and hipsterific! I enjoy just walking down the streets and enjoying the scenery in the neighborhood.
My friend and I took our kids to enjoy some flavors and boy were they satisfied! They enjoyed the delightful atmosphere, lighting and the colorful ice cream flavors. The outside of the porch area is perfect to take photos and the area in the Marigny is so pretty. I had a scoop of the Peanut Crackle & Jam and oh my gooodness!!!! The best!! I also tried the Toasted Coconut ice cream. The kids enjoyed the Dark Chocolate and Cookies & Cream. The Butterscotch & Peacan was delicious!!! I spotted the Honey & Zapp flavor and fell in love..I love Zapps chips, so it was a perfect combo for this New Orleans girl.
New Orleans is a pretty HOT city, all year around. I am so excited to have an ice cream shop that is so warm and friendly to take the kids to in a vibrant neighborhood.

No Popeyes? No problem! It's no surprise that 2019 National Fried Chicken Festival vendors Blue Oak BBQ, District Donuts Sliders Brew and presenting sponsor Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers made the list of best fried chicken sandwiches in #NOLA. Come see for yourselves Sept. 20 - 22 in Woldenberg Riverfront Park!
Following last year's wildly successful event, organizers of the National Fried Chicken Festival (FCF) presented by Raising Cane's have announced plans to expand the festival from two to three days in 2019. In 2018, the free festival drew more than 177,000 attendees, and organizers are expecting more than 200,000 for the fourth annual event taking place Sept. 20-22, 2019, in New Orleans' Woldenberg Riverfront Park.
The festival will feature over 30 local and national fried chicken vendors, as well as live performances from an all-star entertainment lineup including world-renowned St. Augustine High School Marching Band; new group Bounce Royalty comprised of Choppa, Cheeky Blakk, and DJ Jubilee, making their first performance as the newly formed group of bounce legends; Bonerama; Grammy-nominated Cha Wa; J & The Causeways; and the first-ever "Who Dat Playlist," a setlist essential for any Saints fan with DJ Raj Smoov, Shamarr Allen, and more. Those eager for this year's entertainment curated by OffBeat Magazine can listen and follow along with our Spotify playlist, now available under the title FCF 2019 by Fried Chicken Festival on the music platform.
The fourth annual event is also proud to introduce two new VIP experiences. The Bottomless Bubbles VIP Lounge presented by Chandon will include bottomless Chandon champagnes, food from 2018 "Best Fried Chicken" award-winner McHardy's Chicken & Fixin', access to tented, lounge seating, VIP restrooms, priority main stage viewing areas, and more. The second VIP experience, the Royalty Lounge presented by Crown Royal, will include three specialty Crown Royal cocktails, access to tented, lounge seating, food from the world-renowned Gus's Fried Chicken restaurant, VIP restroom access, and priority viewing of the DJ stage. VIP tickets will be available for pre-purchase online at friedchickenfestival.com/experiences as all as on-site while supplies last.
Let the Good times roll!
