New York, New York big city of dreams! I had a great few days in New York. I stayed in Manhattan for work and was able to catch up with my darling sister and cousin. We went to a very vibrant spot for cinco de mayo Mango with a spicy flavor, margaritas. We then headed to Phillipe Chow for New York bites. ..
For a New Orleanian, New York is known for: Pizza, Cheesecake, Bagels, Meatballs, Busy people, Small hotel rooms and Statue of Liberty.
New York in a minute, is what some call it. It does not take long for a driver to arrive to bring you somewhere...unless you are in rush hour traffic. I attended a few meetings on Madison Avenue and was a little stuck with the rush hour traffic. It worked out perfectly, a cab was right there. I politely HOPPED in and made myself home until he got lost... with no GPS... For some reason, I found myself taking pictures in the streets (see below)..It was loads of fun, even in the rain.
Juniors has the BEST Turkey Burgers. I LOVE eating new flavors of Turkey Burgers. It was a pleasure to delight myself in that chuck from my sister. I did notice some beignets being passed to customers. I did not get a chance to try any.
My sister and cousin got tickets to the Wendy Williams show. I was super jealous. I was sick and I had a presentation that day. They took great pictures and were on the front row.
We were invited to a group dinner at a Seafood/Italian restaurant called Quality Steaks. They served us family style..huge portions of foods for the table. Salad, breads, pork loins, fish, steak, chicken..it was all so good. I passed Bergdorf Goodman and was tempted..I did not have time to stop in. Our hotel was next to Times Square. I don't think they stopped moving out there the entire night. If it wasn't a fire truck or some other alarms going off..THE CITY NEVER SLEEPS. The Diamond District!! I don't think they knew I was in town. I wanted to buy something from them but my bank account just isn''t setup that way (haha).
My daughter had a school graduation during the week. I was invited to see Hamilton that day, but (of course) my daughter is most important. My hotel was right near Broadway. The Lion King was also playing and I really want to go back to catch it. There were so many Broadway shows I wanted to catch. There is so much to do in New York, with such little time to spare. I really want to take the kids back to see Sesame Street and Times Square. I know it's a busy city but they have to experience it before they get old enough to really travel abroad.
